Tsukina stops walking and watches as her brother walks gloomily in the basketball court near their apartment. This is the emergency. Tetsuya has been given the final judgement by the coach and trainer of the third string. Even she has given the final verdict before Tetsuya even enters the tryouts. Now, she watches how dejected her brother of not fulfilling her promises to both their childhood friend and his new found friend, Aomine.

"I'm sorry," Tetsuya mutters. "You tried hard to maximize my stamina. I am not puking anymore but it looks like it is still not enough." He then slams his forehead in the post of the basket and then kneels down. "I no longer know what I should do." He cries. "What should I do?"

Tsukina keeps her distance and lets her brother grieve. Tetsuya doesn't need her advice right now. What he needs is a push from someone who can or will understand him. It's not like she can't understand the predicament of her brother but it will only look like she pities him, if it comes from her.

"Why don't you tell to your new found friend about the grave news, Tetsu? You can't leave him hanging, waiting for you to get into the first string."

"I know, Tsukina. I will tell him tomorrow."

---------------------------------------

Tsukina sits in her room, looking at the papers spluttered on her bed. She is not studying for any exam in school but it's from her father. She has been asked to study some company proposals. It is her sideline to get some big extra cash for her vices.

"Argh," she groans in irritation. Her mind is floating to her depressed brother. Anyway, if her plan doesn't mess up, Tetsu has still one last chance. She has pulled this on a whim but for her brother she doesn't mind being a pawn to get the dreams of her brother. "I'll study this tomorrow."

---------------------------------------

Tsukina walks towards the third gym and sees Midorima standing outside, eavesdropping surely. "Midorima-san," she greets casually but aloof. "Who are you waiting in here?"

"It's the first time I've ever seen someone who is so serious about basketball and yet has no fruits to show for their labors."

Tsukina covers her mouth, her shoulders shaking from mirth. Her brother gets dis without breaks.

Midorima stares at the girl, who is covering her laughs. "Are you here for someone?"

Tsukina glances at Midorima. "I'm impressed someone has seen through Tetsuya," she remarks with a smile. She has called Tetsu, Tetsuya to keep her distance for a while.

"You..."

Tsukina puts her finger on her lips as a gesture of silence at Midorima. "You don't want to ruin this, Midorima. So keep it a secret for now."
