She hated herself
Looking up and down at her body
Through that damned mirror
It showed her all the things
She hated the most
She wanted to rip at her skin
Peel away all the flesh that didn't belong
She didn't see herself
As she should be
Those feminine curves
Just didn't suit her
Her round baby face
Just wasn't what she isHe laughs looking back
Tears rolling down his cheeks
As he remembers
All the times he broke down
Wondering what was wrong with him
Why he couldn't be happy
With the feminine body he was born with
Why his brain didn't matchBut now he's finally happy
Being the man he was meant to be
He always says to himself
On days as dark as his past
"I was born in the wrong body,
But you can't keep me locked up
Forever"He cut his way
Out of those feminine curves
And that round baby face
Showing the world
That he may have been born a she.
But he will be triumphant
In this cold unaccepting world.
He laughs at his doubters saying
"Your hatred can not ruin my happiness"It took years for him to find himself
And he'll be damned if he
Lets anyone destroy his hopeI'm finally who I was meant to be
