"Let me get this straight professor" Neville began keeping his pace with professor McGonagall "you're actually giving us permission to do this?"

"That is correct Longbottom" McGonagall replied with her thick Scottish accent
"To blow it up? Boom?" He reassured with an excited look  in his eyes which made you giggle at how cute he was as a faint blush spreaders on his cheeks.

"Boom!" McGonagall yelled causing you both to jump slightly
"Wicked" Neville grinned "but how on earth are we gonna do that?"
"Why don't you confer with mr Finnigan? As I recall, he has a particular proclivity for pyrotechnics" McGonagall said stopping at the end of the steps in front of the entrance of Hogwarts.

"I can bring it down!" Seamus piped up
"That's the spirit, now away you go."

You all looked at each other then obeyed to McGonagalls orders. Neville grabbed your hand and pulled you towards the bridge with you.

"Neville" you called and then you pointed to the sky a blue dorm was being casted over the school by professors who were spread among the Hogwarts grounds. "It's really happening isn't it?" You chocked Neville looked at you with sadness in his eyes. With out saying a word he pulled you into a hug that spoke a hundred words itself.

You were now at the bridge when you heard a sound almost like lightening, you looked up and the dorm was being hit by little beams of light, it didn't break.

A group of you-know-who's men charged towards the bridge yelling on the top of their lungs, ready for a fight. However a few men ran in front of the group and ended running into the dorm when caused them to just vanish into a blue light, your eyes went wide at this.
The group stopped, and began backing away slightly.

"Yeh?" Neville scoffed "you and who's army?"
You pulled on his sleeve slightly, believing to taunt them wasn't the best idea.

You looked out of a small opening on the bridge and looked towards the sky, the barrier was coming down.
Then a small red flame, that looked like a burning pice of parchment, drifted slowly to the floor. The leader (as you presumed) caught it with his wand and began examining it slightly, with a smirk on his face.
You gulped and knew you had to move but you just couldn't yet.
The leader slowly walked forward and ended passing were the globe was before.
The leader began to scream then run as his troops followed doing the exact same.

"Quick!" You yelled jumping up and dragging Neville by the hand, you were faster than him but you couldn't leave him behind.

Hits of light always missed you both by less than a few centimeters. Neville threw a spell while continuing to run for the Clock Tower Courtyard. After a few moments an explosion was heard behind us. You could here the panicked screams of the snatchers. Neville let go of your hand and you ended stopping by Ginny you turned and saw the bridge collapse with Neville still on it.

"Neville!" You screamed running back to the edge. Before you got there however a hand popped up and a wand. You hoped it wasn't one of the snatchers, so you got your wand out ready.
A head popped up you smiled, it was Neville.

"That went well" he said in a strained voice you laughed in relief and gave Neville a hand back up to the not so exploded bridge.

You all ran back to the grounds, where Hogwarts students were screaming as you ran the opposite way to the rest of the students.

"Ginny!" Harry Potter called out stopping us all "Neville, y/n, are you alright?"

"Never better I feel like I could... spit fire" Neville replied finding it hard to keep still from all the adrenaline. You and Neville looked towards Ginny who had a look in her eyes telling you to leave, you both nodded and ran up the steps.

A death eater pounced for Neville
"Stupefy!" You yelled causing the death eater to fall to the floor. Neville smiled "what?" You asked
"I'm mad for you" he replied you blushed, you knew there was no time to do much so you just ran with him behind you ready to battle.

The battle had been going on for hours now, you were fine, a few bruises and blood was smeared on you at this point you weren't sure if it was yours. Your hair was a mess and your school uniform was ripped, but that was least of your worries. You turned and your heart stoped, Neville was no longer behind you. Everything after that felt as though it was moving in slow motion. Your lungs felt as though they were collapsing in on you, and your vision was slightly blurred.
"Neville!" You screamed where was he? You asked yourself, then a mental vision of him on the floor lifeless appeared and tears appeared in your eyes. You felt Dizzy.

"Aw she's all alone" one death eater chuckled as him and ten others ganged up on you getting their wands ready. You couldn't stop fighting not now.

"Alone doesn't mean defenceless" you frowned "Expulso" you casted pointing at a wall that was behind them. The blue light hit the wall and it crumbled on top of the group of death eaters causing them to disappear under the rocks.

You desperately ran through the people but you felt as though something was holding you back and the more desperately you tried the slower the crowd went. You just couldn't find him.

"Neville!" You called again but your voice seemed faded to you.

Then a painful feeling shot through your body you screamed loudly. You managed to turn your head to the side, tears were falling down your face and you saw a death eater, you weren't sure who because they had a mask on.
Your bones felt like they were on fire and collapsing at the same time, your lungs felt as though they were going to burst, and your joints felt like they were being pulled apart. Don't close your eyes you pleaded but the pain was too much "stop!" You managed to get out.

"Y/N!" You heard then the pain stoped and your eyes got heavier and heavier until there was nothing but darkness.

You woke up and the first thing that you realise is a hand on yours. You open your eyes slowly, to see Neville.

"Neville!" You cried and wrapped your arms around the boy's which made him to jump.

"Y/N" he smiled burying his head into your shoulder "I thought I lost you" he whispered. You pushed him off lightly and examined his face and he did exactly the same to you.

"Nev?" You frowned

"Y-yes?" He replied nervously

"I... I love you" you admitted for the first time ever, he just stared and you then with out warning he smashed his lips onto yours. You snaked your arms around his neck and he found his around your waist.
"I love you too" he murmured in between the kiss.
