•Make sure you remember the way home. As soon as you get lost, you're just another piece of fresh meatI always loved these woods, the tall trees blocked out the moonlight, only letting small patches of dim light filter through.
The trees seem to become more alive at night, like the photosynthesis process uses all of their willpower, now that the photosynthesis process has halted they whisper to each other.
I tied the neon yellow rope to a nearby tree, I tied a sturdy knot, the knot I always tied so no amount of tugging could unravel the rope.
I trekked through the woods, I breathed in the crisp night air.
You know what you did
What?
And I know your story
"What?" I spoke, something definitely whispered in my ear.
But there is no way they could know about that, I hid that deep down years ago.
The voices always whispered in my ear, but never once did they make an accusation that big.
I looked down at my journal, it was hard to read but my eyes made out the faint cursive writing.
Thoughts always popped up in my head, I always jotted them down. I couldn't really keep things in my mind after my past.
I tried to forget but it didn't work
I flicked through the dim pages, reading my past thoughts and filling my head with distant memory's.
I had been walking so long I didn't notice what had happened.
If I had noticed sooner,
I might have had the chance to save myself.
I doubled back on myself, I noticed that my rope wasn't as taunt as I like it.
Actually, I couldn't feel anything when I tugged it.
I frantically pulled the rest of the rope, the remains of the once intact rope snaked towards me from the darkness, only about three metres returned to me.
I studied the severed end.
It had been cut, by teeth.
How was I meant to find my way home now?
I looked at my journal.
Did I really make that prediction?
