"Hey, Percy?" Annabeth called from the Athena table without looking up from her notes.

"Yeah, Annabeth?"

"Can you please get me some fruit? Anything will do."

"Sure." Percy reached over to a bowl of fruit and picked up the nearest apple and orange, juggled them for a few seconds, and did a rather impressive toss behind his back. Annabeth caught the orange with one hand and the apple with the other, still not tearing her eyes away from her notes.

"Thanks, Perce."

"No problem."

It was nearly a full minute before anyone said or did anything. The entire camp was silent. Everyone was staring.

Annabeth took a bite of the fruit in her left hand and then giggled. "Hey, Percy?"

"Yeah, Annabeth?"

"You know throwing a girl an apple was a marriage proposal in ancient Greece?"

Percy grinned, stood up, and walked to the Athena table. "Yeah, I know." He walked over to her, got on one knee, and withdrew a small velvet box from his pocket.
