the knife sailed through the air and missed Percy entirely. it shouldn't have been possible for her to have missed. but the knife sank hilt deep into the wrong heart. annabeth stood there tilting back and forth before collapsing at percy's feet. as she lay dying she whispered "i'm sorry seaweed brain..... f-for everything." percy looked from his old girlfriends pale face to that of what used to be his sister he growled. order laughed when she realized what happened. "oh isnt that nice! the one who broke your heart protected you! pity she was a foolish girl, your still going to die little one." cackling at her own words she drew her sword and aimed it at percy. "are you going to avenge her death? you must still love her deep down inside." percy shook his head as he readied his own blade. "no. im avenging my sisters." he said as he launched at his aunt. caught off guard slightly by the power of the attack order stumbled back slightly. growling in frustration order struggled to keep up with his speed 'what is going on?' her mind screamed as she lost more and more ground. 'heh you thought you could win against him...... not with me still alive..... fool... you wont win this' thorns voice rang through order's mind. order growled once again as she struggled against the one she was supposed to be controlling and her brother.

as a last ditch attempt to survive order blasted everyone away from her with a powerful blast of energy. but percy slammed his blade into the ground and held on. once the wave had dissipated he stood yanking the blade from the ground. swinging it to rid the dirt from it. "you were foolish order to think you could win." he said walking forwards. order smirked and released control of thorn for just a second causing percy to falter. "sis i ...." percy stopped short and thorn screamed at him "don't stop you idiot she's still here!! she's still....." "in control" order finished launching at the unprepared son of chaos. cursing himself for his stupidity percy went on the defensive now trying to prevent his own death. 'stupid.... why did i think that thorn was free.... its just like with luke....' percy thought just then a thought clicked into place as percy was being driven back by his aunt. taking the next blow he quickly reached towards his hip and as order was laughing and blind with the battle lust she never noticed the blade being driven into her chest. with a grunt of pain she looked down as percy released the blade and jumped back. slowly order reached down as if to pull it out but she seemed to push it in farther. "die bitch." thorn said as she regained control for the last time.

the amount of energy released was nothing like kronos.... where order was once standing was a crater at least ten feet deep, and almost as wide as a foot ball field. and in the direct center lay thorn curled up in a ball bleeding from all the wounds she had been inflicted. despite the pain she was in she was smiling. percy dropped down into the crater and grabbed hold of her. "we won! we can go home now, just hold on a little while longer dad can.." thorn cut him off "percy, dad can't fix this. i can feel myself dying...... i wont be coming back..... orders power... it was too much for even me to handle...... im sorry percy...... and artemis keep him from doing anything stupid. see you in paradise little brother...." just as she finished speaking thorn took her last breath. "no.. no .. no!" percy screamed and clutched her boby tighter. "please no not you i can't lose you too..." percy sobbed. despite everything percy knew she would wait she was probably waiting for him to join her but he knew he would never be able to.... they were both supossed to be made immortal after the battle.... "im sorry" percy whispered carrying her body out of the crater to where artemis was standing waiting with the demigods. despite having several broken bones lee took thorns body from percy. 

"we need a shroud. a shroud for the daughter of chaos."

a/n: so this is getting towards the end of the book.... i have maybe two or three more chapters im gonna write before i end the book...
