[this chapter has time skips and stuff bc important]

"Louis," Harry says, as he's been thinking for awhile about something important.

So, it's been three months since Louis took Harry to meet his family, and since then Harry hasn't properly gotten sleep without Louis nearby. It's either Louis is sleeping at Harry's, or Harry is sleeping at Louis'; they've never really separate for a whole day. Sure, they go do collabs with people and hang out with their other friends, but by the end of the day they're back in each other's arms.

"Hm?" Louis replies, looking over at Harry.

"Would you, uh, like to—I mean, it's fine if you don't want to—but would you like to possibly move in with me, maybe?"

And, how Louis answers is not at all like Harry expected.

"You know, I've been waiting forever for you to ask that." Louis smiles, "Of course I will."

"Why didn't you just ask?"

"I think it'd be kind of weird to ask 'Can I come live with you?'." Louis shrugs, standing up from his sitting position on Harry's couch.

"No it wouldn't. I love you; you know I'd say yes." Harry walks over to Louis and leans over to kiss his nose.

"Maybe.." Louis blushes, pushing his head into Harry's chest. "You smell good."

"I get that a lot."

"Oh really?"

"Mhm."

"From..?"

"Niall."

"He smells you? That's some weird friendship kink." Louis teases.

"Friendship kink? Is that even a thing?"

"It is now."

The boys end up procrastinating for a week before they even try to figure out anything about how this move is going to happen. Louis will have to sell his apartment and bring his things to Harry's, but, of course, the moving process is a long process.

When Louis finally does get to talking to the apartment owner, the owner is happy to list his apartment for sale. Louis is pretty sure that the owner never really liked him, for what reason Louis didn't know.

It takes another week after that for Louis' apartment to get an offer, and a few days to negotiate the price with the apartment complex owner.

Eventually, Louis' apartment is sold to a college student named Julia.

That's when the packing starts. Louis, not being one who wants to work hard, is reluctant to start. But, finally, he does, and boxes begin to fill. Harry loads these boxes into his new truck—that's right, Harry bought a truck last month—as soon as they are full.

When the packing is done, there's the unpacking. Since Harry already has a bed big enough for both of them, a couch, and other things like that, Louis sold most of his furniture to Julia.

After another week, all of Louis' things are unpacked and he's all settled in.

So, it took approximately a month for all the moving business, and now that it's done, Louis and Harry are happier than ever.

"Would you like to make a video?" Harry absentmindedly asks, while he's scrolling through his timeline on twitter.

"Sure. Let's show them my new house!" Louis cheers, grabbing his phone, so record a daily vlog with. (That's another thing he started doing—daily vlogs.) (Makes sense, since his username is louistvlogs.)

"Hello, my people!" Louis smiles. "You may notice I am not at home. Well."

"He is at home!" Harry yells over Louis' shoulder, making Louis smile and shake his head.

"You heard him right, I'm living here, with Harry now!" Louis fist-bumps his boyfriend, before making the camera scan the room. "What you're seeing here is Harry's—our living room," Louis walks down the hallway, telling his viewers which room is which. Harry stays in the living room, listening to Louis talk from afar.

"And this is the bathroom! Oh, Jesus, Harry! You need to put your underwear in the hamper!" Louis calls out.

Harry knows, however, that the underwear are probably Louis', because Harry is a generally cleaner person. Louis just doesn't want to admit they're his, so Harry doesn't call him out.

Then, Louis comes back into the living room and sits on the couch, a cushion over from Harry. He begins to talk about his movie—he had actually been working on a movie before he and Harry had ever started dating, but he hadn't been confident enough to share it until just recently—and how it is almost finished. Harry is really excited for Louis, because this movie might be his big break.

As Louis hits the end button, Harry phone begins to ring. It's Niall, so Harry answers.

Remember how Harry had talked to Niall about Elaine? Well, Niall talked to Elaine again afterwards and he still believed her over Harry. That resulted in a week-long silent treatment, but eventually the two made up.

"You won't believe this." Niall says as soon as Harry picks up.

"Hello to you, too." Harry teases, but Niall doesn't laugh; which, is very unusual for Niall because he laughs at everything.

"Elaine. She's a con artist, oh my god." Niall croaks, and Harry—for a mere second—wants to laugh and say I told you so. But, he doesn't, because for the most part, he's a good person.

"What'd she do?"

"She, um, she forged my signature and used it to withdraw money from my bank account!"

"Niall! Why didn't you tell the police?"

"Oh! Duh, stupid Nialler. Talk to you later."

"Bye, Ni."

After Harry hangs up, Louis is looking at him with one eyebrow raised, because he only heard half of the conversation.

So, Harry explains what Niall just told him, and apparently Louis finds it kind of hilarious. He's laughing at how Harry dated a con artist, how Harry told Niall not to date her, and how Louis himself went on a date with this girl.

Harry doesn't know why Louis finds it as funny as he does, but he does, so.

Finally, after laughing for awhile, Louis says, "This is why I'm gay."
