The next morning, Avery repeated the same motions she had done every morning, except this time, she started earlier than usual, to make sure not to get caught.

She went to Siyel's pool and released her, like she'd grown accustomed to doing. The things she used to fear without reason did not frighten her at all anymore. She would walk by the pool and stretch out her hand without a moments hesitation; each time.

Avery walked to the Traipen clearing, but instead of entering the circle, she waited outside to see if she could tell what was going on.

She heard several kids laughing, Morgan being one of them. The sweet odor of the Portifayn juice burned at the senses.

They'd poured it in again.

Avery sighed, not knowing whether or not she should go back in.

She no longer feared without reason, but this had a reason to fear.

It drove people mad. The constant craving for more was never enough.

Soon enough, the person would become dependent upon it, drinking it all the time.

Avery wanted no part in that.

She didn't enter the circle.

Avery turned around feeling slightly miserable, about to turn back home when she'd remembered the sights she saw in the tree, just the day before.

The city.

Avery's head shot up and her eyes sparkled in the rays of sunlight.

She rotated on her heals and started confidently in the direction of the tall buildings that lie not far ahead.

Avery passed many sights she'd never seen before, but she figured since she was only walking in a straight line, she didn't need to fear of getting lost.

In this part of the woods, there lie many blooms of Ronpus lilies. Some were motionless, but others reached out to her as if they had a mind of their own.

Avery did not stop for them... she had a destination in mind and nothing would stop her.
