31 - The big news

~(Y/n)'s POV~

The next morning I create a group chat with all of my friends and family- well the ones I am in contact with.

I decide it will be easier this way.

(Y/n): Hey everyone! Dan and I have some big news... I'm pregnant!

Joe: oh my god no way! I'm so excited! I'm coming to your house later with pizza!!

Zoe: Oh my goodness! Count me in, Joe! Is that okay with you (y/n)?

Louise: If you need any tips I'll help you xx If that pizza business is happening don't forget me!

(Brother's name): Who knocked you up? I need to know who I'm dealing with here so I can try and win a fight against them- are they worthy?!

Phil: Okayokayokay what?! When did this happen? Is it a girl or boy? Could you call it Phil jr either way?

You laugh at some of the messages with Dan, and he kisses you on the cheek.

'You know I haven't told the internet about us yet, we should do that soon!'

'Yeah, yeah...' you mumble, not really listening as you reply to your messages.

(Y/n): Thank you all for being supportive! That pizza party is 100% a plan!

~Big Time Skip~

I lay down on the hospital bed as the doctor moves the cold metal across my stomach in search of the baby.

Dan and I couldn't wait to find out if it's a girl or a boy. We looked at so many names and baby products, Louise has been helping me so much too.

'Would you like to know the gender?' The doctor asks, you look at Dan and you both nod.

'Yes please!'

'It's a...'

~Time skip~

'...Girl!' You squeal at your friends, they rush up to you and begin to hug you, tears running down your cheeks.

'I'm so happy!' They exclaim, trying not to hug you too tight because of your bump.

Later that day Dan and I were sitting in the lounge, hugging and watching different TV episodes of (your favourite show).

'I wonder what she'll look like...' I blurt out, making eye contact with Dan.

'I'd say she has pretty good genes, so she'll be beautiful,' he winks.

After the few months you had been together with Dan, he still managed to make you blush and speed up your heart rate.

I'm glad he's with me.

~Sorry for all the time skips but I have no idea what to write~

'Just push! I can see the head,' I hear the doctor say.

I squeezed Dan's hand tightly, groaning at the pain.

'Almost there! One more push!'

You give all your energy into that one last push, and then then the pain slowly dies down.

You were exhausted. Months of carrying around a small child in your stomach had been bad enough. Now I have to clean up its poop and feed it? I only just manage to do that myself.

The doctor hands the baby to me, she was wrapped in a white blanket and was sleeping quietly.

'She's a perfectly healthy baby girl!' The doctor smiles.

I stare at her in awe, she was so precious.

'Welcome to the world, little one,' Dan cops, a soft smile on his lips.

Tears begin to fall down my cheeks.

'Are you okay?' Says as I hand him the baby.

I nod, 'I'm just so happy.'

I smile at him, I must look really gross right now, but Dan doesn't care at all. He just focuses on making sure everything is going alright.

He passes the baby back to me, 'what should we call her?'

I watch as his eyes sparkle while he stares at her.

She has a small button nose that sort of looks like Dan's and pale pink lips. Her hair colour and eye colour are unknown yet.

'How about...'

I pause for a moment to think, and then smile,

'Daiyah.'

I actually struggled choosing a name and actually had help from Mickeymaja, I was going to choose a couple of names from her list but I wasn't sure. I wanted something starting with a D.

So Meh. If you don't like it, change it.
