October rolled around, and I hadn't talked to Harry about the dating situation since that night. We carried on with our day to day lives, and we spoke to each other. It was just a really tense atmosphere when we did.
One evening in the common room, I was sitting with Fred on the couch and we were talking about nonsense. Harry walked into the common room, and marched right up to Fred and I.
"We need to talk," he said to the both of us. We looked at him, and I gestured him to sit in the chair opposite of the couch we were sitting on."I'm sorry. For being a jerk these past couple of weeks. I freaked out when I found out you were going out with Fred because your my sister. I know we're twins, and we're the same age, but I was born first. I feel it my job to protect you. You're the only immediate family I have left. I don't want you getting hurt. You're growing up, and don't need me anymore. I didn't want to come to terms with that fact. You're not the little girl you used to be. The one that always came to me when Dudley would bully you. The one who always hid behind me when we met new people, when we were 5. I was scared that Fred would hurt you, even though I know he won't. I just know how some guys are like, and my view on your relationship was clouded by fear. I know Fred won't hurt you, and I'm completely fine with you dating him."
"Thank you, Harry!" I exclaimed, and gave him a hug. I sat back down beside Fred, and we continued to talk the rest of the night, catching up over the past couple of weeks.
~Tiiiiiiimmmme skip (sorry. I'm severely awkward)~
The first quidditch match rolled around, and I was slightly nervous. The team hadn't been doing very good. I was a chaser, along with Katie Bell, and Angelina Johnson, our captain. We got in formation, as Angelina shook hands with the Slytherin team captain. We all rose into the air, and Madam Hooch released the quaffle. Angelina immediately grabbed it, and passed it to me. I soared across the pitch, with the quaffle under my arm. A bludger came toward me, but I dodged it. I passed the quaffle to Katie, and she launched it at the center goal hoop. The Slytherin keeper blocked it, and passed the quaffle to one of the Slytherin chasers. They sped up the pitch, and scored. Ron was loosing confidence by the second, and the song the Slytherins were singing didn't help. The game kept going down hill from there. Slytherin kept scoring goals, and no sign of the snitch was seen. I was concentrating on where the bludgers were flying when an uproar sounded. Harry had caught the snitch. I flew down, cheering for my team, and landed bedside Harry.
"Good job, Harry!" I shouted over the cheering crowd, hugging him.
"Thanks y/n. You did great too," he said. We were all cheering about our victory, when Malfoy sauntered over.
"Did you like my song, Potter?" He sneered.
"Which one ya talking to?" I retaliated.
"Doesn't really matter," he said, and continued to insult the Weasley's. Angelina, Katie, and I held Fred back, while Harry held George back. Then Malfoy started to insult my mother. He made one wrong comment, and I snapped. I let go of Fred, and tried to sprint toward Malfoy, but someone was holding me back. I looked back to see Fred holding my wrist. He shook his head, and I looked back at Malfoy. He was on the ground, and Harry and George were standing over him. Harry suddenly flew backwards, because of a stunning spell sent at him from Madam Hooch. Harry and George were taken away to Umbridge's office, and the rest of the team, including me went to the changing rooms. I changed quickly, along with the rest of the team, and I went up to the castle. I walked with Fred up to the common room, to wait for Harry and George. I sat on the couch, and Fred sat beside me, his arm around my waist. About 10 minutes later the portrait home opened, and in walked Harry and George. I jumped up, and immediately started talking.
"What happened?" I asked them.
"She banned us, and you two from playing quidditch for life," George said.
"What?! That's so not fair!" I shouted.
"We know, but there's nothing we can do about it. She took our brooms, yours too, and has them chained up in her office," Harry said.
"Ughh!" I yelled. I plopped down on the couch, and crossed my arms."What am I gonna do if I'm not playing quidditch?"
"I don't know, but we're gonna figure out something," Fred said, sitting down beside me. I leaned my head on his shoulder.
"She's taking over the entire school," I sighed. Fred grabbed my hand, and kissed it.
"It'll be ok," he said. Harry sat down beside me. I sat up, turned, and hugged him.
"What's this for?" He asked, hugging back.
"I'm just glad to have you back," I said, burying my face in the crook of his neck.
"Me too (n/n). Me too," he said.
