Some Reunion

Lauren's  P.O.V

It's been five days since Ally told me about Mani. I've been bouncing back and forth on what to do. I want to see them. I have to see with my own eyes and I need to talk to Normani. But she hates me. There's no way in hell she'd have a conversation with me.

I need to talk to someone. Kehlani is a definite no, Ally told me she was busy today. So I only have one more person I know I can trust enough to talk about this to.

"Lauren you have to talk to her." Lucy says from my couch. I'm pacing the living room back and forth trying to sort this out.

"But she's not going talk to me Luc. She hates me."

"She doesn't hate you Lo."

"Yeah she does Lucy. I would hate me if I was her."

"Lauren you made a mistake. That's what people do. They make mistakes and that one mistake is not a good enough reason for her to hate you."

"I don't know…"

"Listen. You need to get her address from Ally and go over to her house because if you don't think she'll talk to you on the phone, then you have to do it in person." She says and I sit and contemplate this.

She's right. I have to do something. Even if Normani doesn't want to see me, if that's my child then I deserve to be a part of her life. Yeah she deserves to know her other parent. Yeah so I'm gonna do it I'm gonna go see Normani today.

"Uh earth to Lauren." Lucy says and I'm snapped out of my thoughts.

"Huh?"

"You've been standing there seriously spacing for like 5 minutes. But anyway, what are you going to do?"

"I'm going to take your advice. I'm going to call Ally and get the address and I'm going to see them."

"Great. You want me to come with you or no?"

"Well, you could keep things from getting awkward. Yeah, yeah you can come."

"Cool."

"Okay, now I need to call Ally." I say and pull out my phone. I call Ally and get the address but not after she tells me how glad she is that I'm doing this. After I get off the phone with Ally, Lucy and I get in the car and take a trip to Manhattan.

We finally pull up to the house and I park on the street.

"I can't do it. I can't do this. Lets just leave." I say and I get ready to start the car but Lucy snatches the keys out of the ignition.

"The fuck Lucy! gimme the keys!"

"Hell no! We are not leaving here until you get your scary ass out of this car and go talk to Normani."

"But-"

"No buts. Grow some balls and get the hell out of this car."

"I have balls okay! I'm Lauren Jauregui and I'm not afraid of anything."

"Except your ex and a seven year old."

"Shut the hell up!"

"Get out of the car Lauren."

"Fine." I say and get out of the car. Lucy gets out as well and we both walk to the front door. I stood there just staring at the door for a while before I heard Lucy say.

"Knock." Right. Knock duh. Okay. I take a deep breath and knock three times on the door. We wait but get no response. I knock again and this time the door opens, but not all the way because it has a chain on it then we hear.
