Chapter Ten

Jeon Jungkook

I sat there watching as Taehyung checked her vitals with Seokjin watching over him. "She's an idiot, what did she hope to achieve." Taehyung muttered.

"She's braver than any of us, and smarter too." Namjoon walked into the infirmary. "She noticed the champagne was spiked, she got the information of the person who spiked it, and then proceeded to kill the person who spiked it, even if that meant sacrificing herself."

"Don't forget she got us the drugs to test on. Now we can make a proper antidote." Jin spoke quietly. Taehyung sighed quietly. I rested my head on the bed watching her chest rise and fall slowly. A small whine leaving my closed lips as I closed my eyes.

"Jungkook, can I speak to you outside?" Namjoon asked quietly. I nodded standing up and following him to the hallway, shutting the door behind me.

"What is it Hyung?" I asked quietly.

"Do you know what a mate is Jungkook?" He asked quietly. I nodded meeting his eyes.

"Of course I do... why?"

"Do you think Eun Bi could be your mate?" Namjoon asked quietly. I stood there in shock for a few minutes thinking it over, I felt my cheeks flush.

"H-How could you think that!" I yelled. Namjoon chuckled softly. "I changed her, she's like a- a child to me!" I lashed out and punched the wall beside him.

"G-Guys, so-sorry to interrupt." Hoseok panted gently. "But Jackson just called, he just came back from grocery shopping. His whole pack is in critical condition."

"We have to go help." Namjoon spoke. "Boys!"

"W-We can't just leave her here unattended!" I exclaimed. Namjoon raised an eyebrow.

"We will, we'll be gone for no more than an hour." Namjoon spoke as Seokjin and Taehyung walked out the room. Yoongi and Jimin met us near the front door as we all stripped off changing into our wolves. I whined as we left the house looking back.

Could she be my mate?

I smelt it before the boys. "It smells like the champagne from last night, we can't go in!" I spoke as I crouched in a bush as a human. The boys all sighed. We couldn't just leave the other pack to stay in there and die could we?

"Maybe we should abandon them, we only had enough antidote to save Eun Bi-" Yoongi frowned.

Unfortunately, with me being the youngest of the pack, my reflexes were a lot slower, despite everything else being faster, so by time I had sensed it, it was too late.

"Get down! Hunters!" Jackson yelled the gunshot echoing. I flinched, waiting for the bullet to hit me. But something else did, something warm-

"Don't just sit there next time!" A voice hissed in my ear. When I blinked a few times, I was on the floor, someone over the top of me. Their long messy hair blanketing us. My heart raced. Her breaths shook as she threw her arms around my neck.

"E-Eun Bi!" I let out a surprised gasp.

"Where's Jungkook- Shit, Jungkook!" Jin yelled. She lifted her head up as a branch snapped near the house.

"There's about six of them." Eun Bi and I both spoke at approximately the same time.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Her voice was quiet. I nodded and she rolled off me and slid into a bush nearby. I saw her body slightly convulse as she changed. I felt my body convulse as I changed, as if a gun had been shot for a race we both launched ourselves from the foliage.

We both attacked the two that were nearest us, blood flying everywhere. She changed human as three surrounded her and one aimed a gun at me. We both froze.

"Move to save your mate and I'll shoot you, beast." The hunter aiming a gun at me snarled.
