Chapter Seven

The feeling of being picked is what I woke up to. Opening my eyes I see white hair, blowing with the wind. "Shh, just go back to sleep, we're safe" I heard him say, instead of listening, I just stare in recognition of Kaneki, with now white hair. "Kaneki? Where are we? What happened to us? What happened to your hair?" I keep questioning him, to which he ignored. "Just close you eyes and act asleep, they can't see you awake" he tells me. He sounds different, more emotionless. No wonder Mia liked him, he is different. "Who can't?" I asked him, more confused then ever. Realizing he's still carrying me, I try to get out of his arms, to my disappointment he tightened his grip on me. "Would you shut up for once, I'm getting us out.  I can't do that with you talking and wiggling around" he says lowly, glaring into the distance. Sighing, I just lean my head against his chest listening to his heartbeat. His heartbeat lulling me to sleep, my eyes drooping down.

"What happened to her? Kaneki, I'm going to ask again. What the hell happened to my little sister?" I hear Daniel growl out. Sighing through my nose, I decided to listen to what they had to say. "Daniel, I couldn't do anything to stop what he did. We were chained to the chairs. So what could I do?" Kaneki yells at Daniel. "You could have used your Kagune, she could of used her's" Daniel said, clearly pissed off. That's where I decided to say something. "He is right you know, how the hell were we supposed to do anything if we were chained to a chair?" I asked him, sitting up on the bed that I was laying on. "Oh I don't know maybe use your Kagune" Daniel says, sitting on the bed next to me. "We couldn't, he injected us with some stuff. It suppresses Kagune use" I tell him laying back down and facing away from them. "Ellie? Baby girl are you okay?" Daniel asked, putting a hand on my shoulder. "I know I shouldn't say it but Ellie you've been having a visitor come by and he's persistent that he needs to see you" Kaneki says from the door, then finally walks out. As Daniel sighs, he just lets his shoulders sag in defeat. "Ellie I know you joined them, the CCG I mean. To find out answers, so you don't have to pretend anymore. And I know its the one that has the funny lookin eyebrows that's been visiting" he says laying beside me like we did when we was younger. He doesn't say anything else though, I thought he would have told me to say away or forget about them, but he didn't. "Thank you, I mean it Daniel thank you" I say but to realize he fell asleep. Sighing, I just get up and turn the lights off. 

Waking up to being poked in the cheek, I just turn around, but then get poked in the back. "Psst, Ellie I need to tell ya something. Its important" I hear from the other side of the bed. To my dismay its Levi and I know he's about to yell so I just cover my ears and yell what.  To which he yelled and said I need to clean. "I'll clean when I'm dead Levi, so Fuck off" I just casually yelled back. Looking at him I see he's not his usual angry short gnome self. "Levi, sit down I need to ask you something. You okay? Don't nod your head and say yes or say your fine either. I want a honest answer to" I say sitting up on my bed after he sat down. "To be honest you gotta promise your not gonna say anything to anyone" he says withal serious expression, to which I nod to. "Okay, honestly no I'm not. Ellie I was scared we were going to lose you. And when Kaneki brought you back unconscious I almost broke down. I see now how Daniel feels to almost lose someone that's close to you. That's like a little sister to you, but your actually his little sister" Levi said putting his head in his hands, not letting me see the tears in his eyes. (···sorry no Levi x reader here guys···) "Levi its ok I'm here, I'm safe so yall don't need to worry anymore" I say patting his shoulder. He just nods and stands up to leave. "Oh and its getting annoying that a CCG member keeps showing up, so take care of that" he says nodding my way.

"Ellie where have you been, everyone's been worried about you" Amon says, sighing in relief.  "Actually your the main one who missed her, I've been busy with my toys" Mr Mado says with a weird excited look in his eyes. "Oh, um, I mean I was worried when you kicked me out of your house and was worried because your brother was visiting" Amon says rubbing the back of his neck, nervously.  I just chuckle at his nervousness. "Well its ok, I'm back now. My brother knows about me being apart of the CCG now. Not happy about it, but he agreed to it" I say, remembering the look his face. "So why doesn't he like the CCG exactly ?" Mr Mado asked, looking up from paper work. "I was friends with this girl when I was young, her parents were killed by ghouls. Except they were also ghoul, along with their daughter. Me and her were best friends, she showed me things about a ghoul that I never knew. I seen her Kagune to, it was a beautiful purple red. Our friendship only lasted two years, before the CCG came and took her. She never killed anyone either, she always stayed quiet and never hurt anyone. My brother felt responsible for her getting taken and killed he still blames himself to" I say quietly looking at the floor. "The CCG also killed mine and my brother's parents.  They assumed that since she was there, that they were also ghoul. So they killed them and they also attempted to kill us to, if not for my brother taking us to different place, they probably would have succeeded to" I added sitting in a chair Mado  had beside his desk. Sighing I look at their shocked faces, as they look at me. "What? Why are y'all staring at me like that?" I asked, getting freaked out.
