Chapter Nine

After laughing at his words I realize I'm still in deep shit because he knows I'm half ghoul. "So um what are y'all gonna do to me, cause I know you hate ghouls and well I'm half ghoul. I don't wanna die, my brother needs me. He may have his friends and our little sister but he needs me. Oh god he's gonna be so pissed at me. Him and his friends are gonna flip, wait my little German squishy is gonna kill me" I rant as tears escape down my face. "Ellie I'm not gonna tell anyone, but I will give you one warning though. And this is it, I find one dead person that has your DNA on it you will be investigated and I won't help you." he says brushing my tears away with his thumb while calming me down. "Why won't you tell anyone, you work for the doves though. Shouldn't you be reporting this?" I ask in confusion. Just as he was about to speak, Mado rushes in while panting. "Ellie, Amon. Come, I got anonymous tip about the rabbit we were after." Mado says, then rushes off ahead of us. I pause and think, wait rabbit? Oh shit, that's Touka. Or I think so because her mask is a rabbit.

Heading to where Mado disappeared,  I smelled another ghoul. To which I recognize because of the scent of Rize and a hint of chocolate. Kaneki . I would know that scent from anywhere. Stopping I raise my nose up to take a deeper sniff. Wait there are more scents, its Aogiri Tree waiting to. Grabbing Amon by his arm, I put a finger to my lips meaning for him to be quiet. I pull him to whisper to him, "Aogiri Tree is waiting to ambush, so wait here I'll go get Mado" after whispering to him I pull my mask out of my back pocket and put it on. As I take off running I pray to Mado is ok and Amon stays where I left him.  Running into the tunnel following Mado's scent, I didn't see when someone's Kagune came at me and strikes my side. Letting out a grunt, I grabbed my side and continued to run. Spotting Mado laying face down I ran impossibly faster to his limp body. Kneeling only long enough to grab him into my arms and ran back to Amon only to be stopped by Kaneki standing in my way. "Ellie? Why are you here? Your supposed to be with the other investigator outside." he says. "I see your siding with the weak humans instead of us ghouls.  Well Kaneki if she sides with them we have no choice but to kill her to" Ayato says coming out of the shadows. Along with the bin brothers, Eto and another ghoul I don't know. "Back off and no one gets hurt. I will not hesitate to kill you if it means to protect myself and someone else." I say lowly. When I see a ghouls slowly surrounding me, I placed Mado down and let my Kagune out. "Ellie enough.  Stop protecting him, and just leave now. I don't want you to get hurt." Kaneki says looking hurt that I would protect a CCG member. Getting in a fighting stance, I get ready for the fight to begin.

Limping out covered in blood and carrying out Mado's body was enough for me to stop as I got far enough to know that no one was around, as I dropped to my knees and cried. I cried because Mado died. I cried because I finally killed someone.  And mostly I cried because I hurt someone that was meant to be on our side.

Hearing someone run my way made me freeze up, until they stopped in front of me and kneel to face me. "Ellie, what the hell happened in there?" I heard someone say. But instead of responding I let the darkness consume my vision as I passed out onto the cold concrete. I must have not noticed I was bleeding out from the cut that wounding heal fast enough. I want to open my eyes up and go home. I wonder if Daniel has found out yet. Probably not, since I didn't say anything when I left.

Hearing voices snapped me back into my senses. It feels warm now. And smells like home. "Would everyone just be quiet, it looks like she's about to wake up" I hear a voice growl out. "I'm staying. I am not gonna leave her side" I hear another voice say. "Ok me and Mia stay.  Everyone else get the hell out." I hear I low voice say that I recognize as Daniel. Hearing a door open then close after a few minutes,  I decide to finally open my eyes. Opening them slowly, I quickly shut them from a bright light. Groaning from it caused someone to get up and shut them off. "I feel like death right now, so where the hell am I?" I ask after I open my eyes and raise up. Grabbing my side and wincing I realize I side hasn't healed up. "Ellie, lay back down and we're in the basement under our house." Mia says trying to get me to lay down.  Realizing now that Daniel is being quiet now, I quickly put my head down and lay back down. "I'm sorry.  I know that what I have done was reckless and stupid of me but I didn't realize there were so many of them. I thought there was only a couple of them. I was wrong, there was over two dozen maybe more. I sorry that I disappointed you." I say quickly as I keep my head down. "I'm not disappointed.  I was just worried when a CCG member ran through our front door with you covered in blood and god knows what else. I need to know what group it was, and where I happened." he said as he leaned forward and rested his arms on his legs. "Aogiri Tree, and the entrance to the sewer. Daniel don't hurt the guy with bluish hair, that's Touka's brother," I say finally looking him in the eye." I really don't give a flying Fuck, he was there and was one of the bastards that hurt you." Daniel says standing up and walking out the door. "Mia get Yomo, this is gonna be bad" I said while raising up and swinging my legs over the side of the bed. Instead of listening she rushes to my side to help me up. "I'll help you so we can both tell him" she says opening the door while still having an arm wrapped around me helping me up the stairs. "Eren come help us up these damn stairs." I yell, then hear a loud thump and feet running from the living room. The door in front of us opens revealing a half dressed Eren. "You called Mia?" he grins, then it vanishes as soon as he see's me. Sighing he walks to me, picking me up bridal style and walks to the kitchen and sits me onto the counter. "Ok just stay there while I make some tea and get you something to eat. And by the way don't go into the living room yet." he says getting water to make the tea while Mia opens the fridge to get the flesh out that some went out to get. "Let me guess. We have some people in there and by their scents in Mr Yomo, Mr Yoshimura, Touka, and Armin?" I say then flash my ghoul eyes as I look up and glare at Eren. "Well you see, um , that um, he found out you were here and well he just showed up at the front door." Eren says nervously.  "Mia go get Mr Yomo please" I say still looking at him. Hearing Mia walk away, my glare slowly goes away as I finally let my shoulders sag and I let my head hang down. "I'm sorry Ellie, I really am. If I could he would already be home with mikasa and everybody else." he says pulling me into a hug but lets go when we hear, Mia and Yomo coming. "You needed me?" Yomo asked putting a hand on my shoulder after walking into the kitchen. "There's gonna be a fight. CCG against Aogiri Tree, so get everybody ready." I say flashing my ghoul eyes again. "Also, Daniel took off and I need someone to bring him back to me." I say finally feeling my side heal, so I get off the counter and walk into my room and put on my suit im known for, white leather and royal blue half mask.

"Mia your gonna go with Armin and Hinami to the safe room down stairs. And please don't fight me about it." I said to Mia with a pleading look. Slowly she agrees and walks to the basement where their already waiting.  Slowly Mr Yomo, Eren, and I walk outside. "Ellie, go be with your partner from the CCG. He will need the help." Yomo says looking forward. Nodding I take off running and jump atop of the building to run along there. After running for a while I pick up the scent of the CCG and run forwards it.  The closer I get the louder I can hear the booms of their weapons.  Looking over the side of one building I spot Amon three blocks down and decide to stay hidden until im closer to him.

After a slow but long while I finally get to him only to realize he has a shit ton of other CCG members around him. Oh well I guess its time to wing it and hope like hell I'm not killed. Shrugging that thought off I just off the building and walk towards Amon. Many of them notice me and try to attack ,only for me to dodge and keep walking.   Finally I stood beside him and watch their expression only to be shock. Along with Amon his is also shock to which I assume it being my ghoul eyes showing and the suit I'm wearing. "Hello Mrs Beauté." he says raising an eyebrow at me. "Amon I'm here to help against the Aogiri Tree, because they are killing innocent people and innocent ghouls.  Along with hurting my family. Also there are other ghouls here that are spread out that are willing to kill Aogiri Tree, so inform someone that The Beast and his pack is here and they are ready to kill them for hurting me." I say glaring into the distance. I tilt my head listening to the fight ahead of us. Suddenly Amon looks forward and announces out that we are needed near Anteiku.

Running beside Amon was easy since he wasn't  really fast. "Beauté run ahead and make sure we aren't gonna be ambushed" he says nodding forward. Smiling at him I run to my full speed to Anteiku, which didn't take long. When I got there nothing was unusual so I walked around and waited for Amon and the rest to get here. Lifting my nose I catch a scent that throws me off. Taking a deeper smell I realize along with that scent was my brother. Looking around I spot patches of crimson red on the ground near a alley way, so walking near it the smell of blood gets stronger.  Glancing around the corner I cover my mouth as I spot body half way eaten. Slowly walking to it tears spring to my eyes as I realize who it is. Kneeling down I grab onto him and hug him to my chest as I let the sobs shake my body. 

  Ignoring the sound of my name being called, I tighten my arms around Levi as I keep crying over him.  Feeling someone put their hand on my shoulder I look up at my brother and see unshead tears.   Pulling me up he hugs me as he trays to sooth my tears.    Pulling away he puts his mask on and we walk back to where Amon and the rest of his group are.

A/n I'm sorry that Levi dies.  I cried a  little because I randomly picked someone.    I didn't even know who was gonna die until I finally got to that part.
