A/N This is a really short chapter, so I'm going to post Chapter Eleven too.

Addison left me outside, only to return blasting music from her headphones, planning to ignore me the rest of the day.

Oh, how my sister can hold grudges.

I got up and left as soon as she sat down. I walked up our giant hill back to our house and greeted Munro, our Maine Coon, as he meowed at me from inside the door. His eyes are the exact same color as mine, green. He watches me with those eyes as I climb the stairs to mine and Addison’s room.

Our room is divided completely in half by color scheme and design.

My side has sea green, blue and white while Addison’s side has pink, pink and more pink. We’re twins, but polar opposites.

The words on my textbook are swaying in and out of view and I decide to take a break. I hear Munro skip up the steps as I stare out the window, looking for Addison. She suddenly gets up, startling both Munro and I, who jumped up onto my lap. She walks toward the forest Eliza was in not too long ago. I stand, trying to get a better view as to what she sees. I see a shimmering pink orb about a foot away from her. I’m assuming this is a spirit or some sort of trap. I try to speak to Addison through telepathy, Addison! The orb is a trap; don’t touch it! But she doesn’t hear me and touches the orb.

The orb explodes with an eardrum-shattering crack and Addison disappears.

I scream, causing Munro to leap off my lap, hissing in complaint as he bounds back down the stairs.

I leap after Munro, racing him down the stairs. I slam the door behind me as I run toward the forest barely feeling my feet touch the dirt.

“Addison!” I scream. But it’s no use.

She’s gone.
