A/N: Best. Chapter. Ever.

Sleeping comes difficultly while adjusting to a cast. I don't get much sleep and think about smashing the alarm clock when it goes off. But I don't, and pull myself out of bed no matter how loud my mind screams. *Your bed is much warmer! Stay there!* it yells.

Addison's already awake and dressed when I stumble into the bathroom. "Mom says you don't have to go to school if you don't want to." she tells me around her toothbrush.

"No I'm going. I might look like I just fell out of bed-"

"Which you did." Addison interrupts. "But I'm going."

She rinses her mouth with water and starts to put her hair into a complicated twisted-braid thing. I leave and find some clothes to wear. I don't really pay attention to what I gab. Luckily they match or Addison would've made me change a few hundred times, and I'm not exaggerating.

Addison makes herself breakfast. I don't eat since I'm not that hungry.

We leave before either of our parents wake up and wait for the bus. As we wait, I notice a car driving up towards us. It stops in front of us and the driver reaches over to open the door. The windows are tinted so we can't see in. "We're ditching school today." It takes me a second to figure out who's talking. It's Maxx.

Addison gives me a 'are you seriously that crazy' look as I go to sit inside the car. "You can get in." I tell her. "He doesn't bite."

"No he only wrecks cars and gives my sister a broken arm."

I try to hold back laughter but don't succeed. "For something that isn't supposed to be funny, that's really funny." She glares at me; Maxx clears his throat and puts the car in drive.

"So what's the reason you're kidnapping us?" Addison says from the backseat, staring at his back.

"It's not exactly kidnapping." Maxx says, shifting his eyes to Addison, then back to the road.

"Hang on," she says as she pulls out her phone. She types something into it and I move my eyes to Maxx.

Dressed in a loose t-shirt and dark jeans he looks very handsome. His fidgety hands can't stop moving; the wheel, the radio, even my wrist. He only touches my wrist once, jerking it away when I jump.

He's been fidgety ever since I woke up in the hospital yesterday. He opens his mouth to say something but is cut off by Addison. "The definition of kidnapping is, 'The crime of unlawfully seizing and carrying away a person by force or Fraud, or seizing and detaining a person against his or her will with an intent to carry that person away at a later time'."

"Are you saying that you didn't agree to getting into the car when you're the one who sat yourself in the backseat?"

Addison huffs and rolls her eyes so fast I almost don't see her eyes move. "Maybe."
