Time appeared to have moved by faster than Louis could have anticipated.

One moment it’d literally just been the two of them sitting down and beginning their picnic. The next time Louis blinked it was as though time hopped a few jumps ahead and the Sun was placed directly overhead from where they were in the forest. At that time, practically all the food was still there as neither he nor Harry had bothered to actually preoccupy the picnic time with actually eating and they’d been laying on their backs just watching up at the sky.

The silence between them wasn’t awkward, much to Louis’s own relief. Occasionally he’d toss a word out to make sure Harry hadn’t fallen asleep on him and he’d get a short response back.

Louis’s own thoughts at that time had been singled out to how life at the palace currently was.

There was no doubt that they had noticed he was gone and the reaction that the Prince of the United Kingdom was once again missing, though this time there was no true reason aside from a hypothesis that he ran away, considering the warning Louis had given them before hand.

When he got back, he didn’t know what kind of excuse he’d have to pull out of his ass at the last minute, but it’d have to be good and believable.

He supposed he shouldn’t have been too worried about it considering how he had about two months or so to get it all together.

Just as Louis let himself be succumbed by the overwhelming thoughts of his mind, he’d somehow allowed himself to become victim to sleep.

He had dozed off without even realizing it until he was lightly shaken awake. At this point, what had felt to have been his eyes closing for two seconds were actually his eyes closing for two hours.

The sun was moving in a position that’d very soon give it its orange-red glow by the horizon that was no hidden amongst the brush of the forest he and Harry still sat in.

Harry leaned over him, his hand still clutching his shoulder as Louis found his head tilting upward to make eye contact with the darker haired male.

Unreadable as always, Harry simply released him with a blank expression plaguing his features while he stood up from kneeling, his form towering over Louis in a slight intimidating manner.
