"Good morning, babe."

Those three words, so filled with adoration and spoken so lovingly that it was almost too sweet to be considered real, were followed with a fleeting kiss on Louis's cheek. His closed eyes scrunching up. Even with his eyelids shut, he was still able to detect the drastic change in lighting within the room since he had last been lucid. He could feel Harry's body hovering over his own and he couldn't help the smile that twitched on his lips when he felt Harry's own lips return to his face, this time in a position slightly lower than the first time.

"Good morning to you too," Louis lightly remarked. After he spoke, he came to realize his voice was in terrible need of clearing.

One of his hands squirmed out from between their bodies before it moved to the top of his forehead, brushing some of his fringed hair upward. With a yawn, he allowed his eyes to open.

With his eyes resting on the walls of the room, he realized the absence of the inconsistent rocking of the ship he had grown accustomed to. He had to admit it was a bit strange; he had grown so used to the subtle, sometimes violent tilts that came with being on Poseidon's Storm after the past few weeks.

His train of thought was interrupted as Harry's lips came down to his chin once more for another kiss and this time, Louis shifted his body from his side to lay on his back. The action managed to get him a better view of Harry's face while the male ran a hand through his dark brown hair, a small smile on his face as he gazed down at Louis with nothing other than a rather keen fondness in his green eyes.

There had been a time when Louis thought he would never get used to Harry looking at him like that. Even up until now, there was never a moment when he could say that he'd been wrong when he thought that up.

One of Harry's hands moved over to twirl a bit of Louis's hair between his fingers and Louis sent him a questioning look when it became apparent he was on the verge of saying something.

As Harry now began to stroke throughout the royal's hair, he let out a short breath, his eyes not losing their more positive light, though they appeared more plain, "Did you sleep well last night?" The younger male questioned airily and Louis instantly realized that that had been the cause of his demeanor change.

Truthfully, a majority of what he and Harry had said to one another was mostly a blur even though it'd really only happened some hours ago. It was practically as if that whole situation on its own had been a dream, one separate from the darker one that led to them talking in the first place.

That nightmare had really been something.

Louis frowned as a sharp, nausea-like feeling erupted into the pit of his stomach as his mind flashed with the image of Harry being shot down once more.

He moved one of his hands to the side of his head with a sigh.

At one point in time, that hadn't only been a nightmare...

It had been reality.

But Harry managed to walk away from that whole encounter completely fine with only a scratch across his chest, so Louis supposed it truly was nonsense to ponder on it longer.

"Louis?"

His words made Louis blink, his mind swimming back into reality and he locked eyes with Harry, who was still watching down at him, now with a tinge of concern distinguishable in his facial features.

Though it took the older male a second to come to, he cleared his throat before rising upward on the bed. His movements caused Harry to move back from his original position a bit, but he still kept his gaze on the blue eyed royal expectedly.
