We hurried off to Transfiguration, and today we were turning beetles into buttons, which is no problem. Harry, on the other hand, was having a bit of trouble with the beetle running everywhere.

I had a really big pretty button, which I stuck on my robes, and turned around to see how Ron was doing. I got a face full of smoke instead that smelled horrible.

"Ronald Billius Weasley, what did you do to your wand?" I asked after all the smoke cleared.

"I patched it up with Spellotape, you see, but obviously it isn't working well." The wand sparked and crackled, and Ron squished his beetle with his elbow. I face palmed as he asked for another one.

"Miss Weasley, please turn around in your seat, and Mister Weasley, please don't trouble yourself with another beetle mishap!" Minnie told us both as I shimmied my chair back around.

Pretty soon, the bell rang for lunch and I walked out with Hermione. Ron and Harry came in a bit later and Hermione showed us all of her buttons. I showed them all the really big one I made which had all of the Hogwarts houses on it.

"Eww, Slytherin! Why couldn't you have had just Gryffindor, or something!" Ron stated.

"Honestly, Ron, have you ever heard of house diversity? Slytherin isn't that bad!" I replied.

Ron glared at me, and we would've gotten into a huge argument if Harry hadn't changed the subject to thinking about what we had next. Turns out we have Defense Against the Dark Arts, and I was highly annoyed with that information. Luckily, we had a bit more time before then so we went outside to the courtyard.

Hermione immediately went to reading one of Lockhart's books (which I scoffed at), and I got into a heated Quidditch conversation with the other two.

"The Holyhead Harpies are hands down the best quidditch team out there! You both can't possibly be seri–" I was interrupted by Harry stopping his side of the argument and a little boy shuffling over to us.

"Hello, Harry aren't you? I'm C-Colin Creevey!" The small boy shuffled closer. He was also holding a camera, which I grinned greatly at.

"I'm also in Gryffindor. Would it be alright if I got a–a picture, with you Harry?" Colin mustered out.

Awwww, Colin was so adorable! Meanwhile, Harry stood there stunned.

"A picture?" He asked again. Colin went into this whole speech about how he knew about Harry, and how he could develop his muggle pictures into moving wizard ones, and how amazed he was with Hogwarts, being a muggle born and all. He wants to take lots of pictures to send back to his dad, the sweet boy.

"That's it, you're officially my newest little brother, okay? My name's Rosalyn, but just call me Rose! I can teach you all about how to work this thing here, and show you all over Hogwarts!" I told him, and got a huge smile in return.

"R– Rose, could you maybe take the picture of me with Harry? And maybe, Harry, could you sign it?" Colin said.

"Potter, you're giving out signed photos?" I groaned loudly and slowly turned towards the source of the voice.

"Shut it, Weaslette, no one asked you!" Malfoy snapped at me. He was with his cronies, Crabbe and Goyle, who were possibly the most dumbest kids in school.

"And no one asked you to come over here, barging your way into other people's business!" I sassed back, protectively putting a hand on Colin's shoulder.

"Photos, photos! Potter's giving out signed photos! Come and get them!" Malfoy yelled, making Harry's face go red out of anger, I suppose.

"You're just jealous!" Colin piped up.

"Jealous? Why would I be jealous of having a scar run across my forehead? I don't think that's exactly what I could call special, if you ask me!" Malfoy retorted.

"Because you haven't been hit by the Dark Lord himself! Just face it, you'd suck all his toes just to be in his blessings!" I replied. Some kids laughed at this, and others said 'Ooh' and 'Burn'. I crossed my arms, waiting for his response.

"That's it, Weaslette, you've crossed the line. Now, I guess you and your good for nothing brother will have to have your mum take you home! 'If you put another toe out of line–' " Malfoy mocked.

Okay, the howler was really -that- funny, but that's not the point here! No one messes with my family but me! Ron and I pulled out our wands at the same time, but we were interrupted by Hermione's book slamming shut.

The most, absolute, very last person I'd like to have seen at the moment was walking towards us all. It was Lockhart, how convenient.

I groaned even louder than before, ranting and rambling about how 'the two biggest numbskulls in the entire school are in one place, making me slowly loose all of my brain cells!'

"What's all this?" He asked." Who's giving out signed photos?"

Before Harry could speak Lockhart jumped to his own conclusions, pulling an arm around Harry's shoulders and had Colin take a picture of the two. The bell rung as he took the picture, and Lockhart shoed us all off.

"I can't do this." I sighed to myself, realizing I had to spend more time than necessary with Lockhart. Luckily, I knew just the people to associate myself with!

"FRED! GEORGE!" I yelled up into the boy's dormitories after running sneakily through the halls and avoiding a very close confrontation with Snape. The fourth years just so happened to have a free class right about now, so I knew exactly where to find them.

Immediately I heard three bodies jump to the floor at the sound on impact, so I laughed. Hard.

"Rose, this is the third time you've done this already! Merlin!" Lee complained, rubbing his back as he untangled himself from Fred and George.

I eventually managed to stop laughing, and sat on George's bed. "Well maybe you shouldn't get so scared all the time when I barge in!" I replied with a grin.

"You know, one day you're going to kill us doing this." Fred told me, making me smile.

"Anyways, what are you even doing here? Shouldn't you be having class right about now?" Lee asked.

"Yup, which is exactly why I'm here. I don't think I would have lived to see the next class if I stayed in Lockhart's presence a bit longer." I said.

Thankfully, the twins and Lee weren't going to rat me out (like they would've done that anyways), so we just hung out in the dorms the whole time. I think we broke a bed or two, and by the time it was time for our next class, all of the pillows on their beds were completely busted. Feathers were everywhere, and clothes went topsy turvy. It was completely worth it though, even if I did get in trouble, because at least I didn't have to deal with Lockhart!

Hi guys! I'm back! I said this would go up before the first, so I think I've made pretty good timing considering the circumstances!

I've started my first year of high school, and its already going pretty well! The days are going super fast, and it'll be Summer again before we know it.

Also, I'm going to go back through this book and edit some things. Not anything related to the story, but how I wrote it instead. So, that's what that is when you'll eventually see all of those notifications!

Anyways, that's all I have for now!
