Soulmates (Jyrus)

Chapter 1

Cyrus pov:

It was a dreary Monday morning. The clouds rolled in across the sky only a little sun peaking through. I walked outside to meet up with my best friends Andi and Buffy. Everyday we walked to school together. As I waited outside Andi's house, I could feel the crisp air against my skin. My thoughts weren't really focused on anything until I heard footsteps coming from behind me. Buffy approached me with a smile on her face. The day before, she had texted Andi and I saying she had something important to tell us, but wanted to say it in person. As she finally approached me, she linked arms with me with a smug smile. Seeing her smile made me say " So I'm guessing what you have to tell us must be pretty big." Buffy nodded with the same smile on her face. After a minute, the front door to Andi's house swung open and out came the the complete 3/3 of the good hair crew. Andi came up to us and linked her arm with my unoccupied one. We then began our walk to school.

" Okay Buffy spill." Andi said while looking over to Buffy. My attention was also brought over to her. Buffy then shared her exciting news with us, "You know how I hung out with Marty yesterday?" We both nodded. "Well...it started out as a simple study session. Let's just say things changed a little bit. He leaned in and kissed me guys!!" Both me and Andi squealed until she hushed us. "Wait thats not even the best part...we both got matching marks. You guys I found my soulmate!" Andi and I looked at each other. I then screamed out excitedly, "Oh my gosh you have to introduce the good hair crew to your soulmate! I mean who wouldn't want to meet us." Buffy rolled her eyes at my little nickname for our trio. The rest of the walk contained more fangirling from me and Andi. I started to feel this emptiness inside me. Yes I was happy for my bestfriend, but this part of me felt jealous. Not because I like her but because I wished for the day I'd find my soulmate. I spent the whole walk in excitement for my friend but wondering who my soulmate would end up being.

A few hours later ( I imagine this in the voice from spongebob)...

It was half way through the school day. I met up with Andi and Buffy at Andi's locker and we all walked to lunch together. Our lunch table was right across from the Jonah Becks. Not to brag but we're best bros. Some feeling inside me forced my head to look at him. Jonah's dimples were popping out as someone made him laugh. I was deep in a Jonah trance until someone was snapping their fingers in front of my face. I turned to meet eyes with Andi.
"Cyrus are you even listening to me?" I gave her a hesitant look and she knew glared her eyes at me. Then Andi repeated what she was saying, "So Cyrus I'm having this totally huge party since my grandparents will be away the whole weekend. You down?" I nodded my head with a thumbs up. She then added "I was wondering since you're closest to Jonah could ya ask him to come?" My eyes widened and I felt a nervous pit in my stomach.
"Um ye-eah." I squeaked out. "Yes this is perfect! Andi you've got to make a move on Jonah. You guys could totally be soulmates!" I jumped a little, surprised at Buffy's enthusiasm. Then my eyes looked over to Jonah's again and I swear right when I looked over it seemed like his head turned quickly back to his friends. Something in Cyrus' heart hoped he was looking over at him.

Also positive comments are appreciated 😊 I'll try to have chapter 2 up tomorrow and I promise the story will start to pick up more in either chapter 2 or chapter 3 we'll see how it goes.
