I walk to the window and see Joey standing there smiling, his smile ugh I can't.

Joey- what colour are your eyes?
Me- what?

I look over at him and laugh, he looks back over and smirks shaking his head

Joey- because I needa know
Me- okay chocolate brown!
Joey- I wish I could see them , I can tell they are already beautiful.

I smile at the message, nobody has ever told me that, except my dad... I miss him.
My smile fades a little and I get up.

I go take a shower because why not? I change into a jumper that Kate's daughter Maria gave me. It's a beautiful blue one.
I go lay on my bed and decide to carry on with my book.
Half way through the book , I fall asleep. Casual me.
It wasn't next day when Kate woke me up, 'he's here' Kate says smiling.
'What ? Who's here?' I asked confused.
'The boy ' she whispers.
'What boy' I honestly don't get what boy she's talking about.
'The neighbour !! He's downstairs waiting for you ' she says smiling.
' Kate he's here!!!?? ' I say putting my hands on my head. I don't know how to act, I-I don't know what to say to him.
'Yes now hurry fix up yourself , he's in the creation room' she says nodding and walking downstairs.
I fix up my hair and makeup and my clothes, I slowly walk down and peek over the corner of the wall.
He's really here, his amazing hair his cute clothes , he's so perfect.
He was standing looking out the window when he heard me. He turns and looks at me and smiles big.
' Maya ' he says still smiling.
'H-hi' I say stepping out. Don't blow it maya.
' your nurse told me we have to keep our distances because-' 'it's okay I get it' I say interrupting him.
He smiles and stares at me. 'You are even more beautiful in person ' he says looking into my eyes.
' Thanks ' I blush putting a piece of my hair behind my ear.
He steps a little close and so do I.
' I just wish I could hold you for just a second but I guess we can't get everything we would love in life right?' He says still looking at me.
'Y-yeah ' I look down at my hands.
There was an awkward moment for a second and Kate walks in, 'hey Joey, sorry but it's time for Maya's meal' she says smiling and looks at us.
I look back up at him and smile. ' Of course, text me later Maya ' he says winking and walks out. 'Thank you ' he says smiling at Kate.
He's so sweet honestly..
I blush and watch as he walks out and back to his house.
' anything happen? ' she asks folding her arms.
' no touching I swear! ' I say putting my hands in the air.
' okay , well dinner is on the table' she says laughing and walking back to the kitchen.
I smile looking down.
I can't believe I finally got to see him in person, he's incredible.

I'm in my room reading my book after finishing dinner. I'm finally at the point where the girl finds out she's adopted.. it sucks for her because she's been lied to for her whole life.
I tear up finishing the book, it was amazing.
I hear screaming coming from outside and I rush to my window and look out, it's coming from joeys house.
I watch as he pushes his dad...
'What ya gonna do about it jerk? Don't ever hurt my mom again' he says pushing him again.
His dad lifts his fist and I watch feeling like it's slow motion, punch him across the face.
I panic and run downstairs opening the glass doors, I don't care about my disease.
I run over to Joey and help him up , ' Joey are you ok!? Where are you hurt!?' I say quickly looking at his head.
He looks at me confused 'Maya what the hell are you doing get back inside!!!' He says motioning me to go back inside.
'No Joey please-' my mom runs out and grabs me. 'Maya get inside now!!' She says pulling me inside.
We get into the glass room.
'What the hell were you doing out there!?' She says yelling at me.
'He was hurt mom , I wasn't gonna stand by and watch!!' I say yelling back.
'He's just a stupid boy Maya , did you touch him!?' She says getting a cloth and washing my hands.
'He is not stupid! I-I like him a lot mom' I say tearing up. I run upstairs slamming my door and jump on my bed.
I cry and cry and cry.
Why doesn't she get me.
Disease is just a word, happiness is a feeling.
Love is a feeling, I don't care if I get hurt by anything. Joey is different. Joey is perfect.
