' hello is this maya Lee?' A serious voice says into the phone.
I frown, ' yes this is she' I reply.
' this is doctor Kate, we have some news about your disease, according to tests we have done.. You do not have scid' she says into the phone.
My heart skips a beat. What ? Nah she's lying.
I laugh a lil before replying, ' no I have scid my mom is a doctor and has been taking care of me everyday of my life!' I answer.
' we are professionals here at James' hospital, and we are exactly 98.9% sure you do not have SCID' she says serious.
My smile fades away , ' explain how I got very sick when I went outside then' I snap at them.
There was a moment of silence until another doctor came onto the phone, ' miss Lee, it's doctor Mark, according to the results.. You becoming sick is actually normal. You are a very healthy girl and it's okay to get sick like that sometimes' he says smiling at the other end of the phone.
I swallow hard, with my mind going blank.
What is going on?
' thank you doctor mark ' I say ending the phone call.
I think for a second before running to my moms office and pulling out the drawers of information about me and my sickness.
I search the computer and nothing is in the emails...
I look around at all the papers on the floor.... I'm upset. I'm furious. Is this all a joke ?
My mom walks in.. ' Maya what is going on!?' She says looking at the mess.
' mom where are the papers ?' I say trying to keep my calm.
' what papers ?' She says looking at me confused.
' the papers about my scid, WHERE ARE THEY!!' I become more furious than I was as the worry look on her face grows even more worried.
' well t-they are here some where, why are you asking ?' She says looking at the papers.
' the doctor called... and told me ... I don't have SCID... I'm perfectly fine ' I say looking at her mad.
Her eyes go from the papers to me , ' stupid doctors telling you , you don't have scid they don't know you that well Maya of course you have SCID!' She says quickly.
' MOM DO I HAVE SCID !' I yell at her.
She looks away scared and slowly shakes her head.
I can't believe it.
My WHOLE life I've been lied to.

I walk down the stairs and open the door running down the street not quite knowing where I'm going , while my mom yells after me.
I run and run , until I reach a phone station ...
