I woke up to the same old bland room. Grey walls, sapphire blinds, and my desk filled with papers that I have deliberately been ignoring.

I looked to my left, seeing my phone glaring at me with all it's notifications.
After some debating whether or not I was going back to sleep, I picked it up to read the messages. The last notification I saw, was something that I didn't expect.

2 missed calls
Unknown caller

Who would call me at 5 am in the morning? I thought, started to feel uneasy. My phone suddenly started to vibrate, with an incoming call. Unknown caller. What do I do? I thought to myself. Do I Answer? I mean, it is 6 am. I swiped my finger over the screen and answered the call.

"Hello?" I said, carefully and nervously.

"Hi, is this Victoria Lowland?" The voice sounded deep and raspy.

"Yes," I answered, trying not to sound too startled. "Who is this?"

"Not important," Said the voice quickly. "But I know what you're hiding, and I know the solution to all your problems." By now, I concluded that this was a man's voice.

"What are you talking about?" I uttered urgently, without thinking first.

"Just meet me at the coffee shop near your apartment at 9." He said, and I couldn't tell if he was serious or not.

"Wait, how did you-" Beep beep beep. The call ended. I looked down on my phone in frustration. Was this guy trying to blackmail me? Who does he think he is?

I decided to ignore what just happened and tried to focus on something else. If only his voice would leave my head. "I know what you're hiding". "Meet me at the coffee shop". Stop. Leave me alone.

I tried to distract myself by going on spotify, and put my playlist on shuffle. An acoustic version of Summertime Sadness started playing. Great, I thought. Just what i needed, yet another depressing song in my already shitty life.

The time passed by quite fast, as I was laying half asleep, listening to music. I suddenly woke up with a jolt. The music on my phone had stopped playing, and was instead replaced with the vibration of a call. I once again saw the Unknown caller. I hesitated, but answered.

"You are coming, right?" I heard a familiar voice say. "You're going to be late if you don't get ready and leave soon."

Beep beep beep

He hung up again.

How does he know where I am? I thought. I was starting to become really creeped out.

I put on a shirt, which ended halfway down my thighs. I opened my blinds and the light entered the room, blinding me. After my eyes had adjusted to the brightness of the sun, I looked outside.

Nothing out of the ordinary. I can't belive it. How does he know where I am? What I'm doing? I put some dark blue jeans on from last night, which were laying on the floor.

I left my bedroom, leaving the door open to let it breathe. For being a two room apartment, it is quite big, or at least big for one person.

I put my hair up in a bun, trying to hide the fact that I just woke up... again.

I walked outside the door, slamming it behind me. Am I really doing this?
