1 missed call
Caller: Ignore his ass

Oh, seems like Nick called me... Do I message him or call him back? I mean, we did just meet today. I've gotten enough of my yearly 'Nick dose' for today.

My phone started to ring again. It's Nick again... why does he keep calling? I thought about ignoring him, but it might be something important - so I answered the call.

"Hello?" I started with when I answered the call.

"Hey, did you get home safely?" He asked, sounded slightly worried.

"I just got to my door," I said, searching for my keys in my bag. "Why?"

"Okay, wait there! I'll see you in 5," He responded and hung up. You'd think I'd be used to people hanging up on me by now, but all it really does is piss me off.

What the hell? I looked around in my bag once again, but I couldn't seem to find my keys. They weren't in my bag, and they weren't in either of my pockets. Shit, is that why he called?

I stood around outside my apartment, impatiently. Let's just say I wasn't looking forward to this

After some time, I finally heard someone speed walk up the stairs. I recognize that tempo. It must be Nick.

"Hey," He said while trying to catch his breath. Did he run here? "You dropped your keys in the café."

"Yeah, I noticed. Thanks for bringing them," I said a little resentfully, but trying my best to sound grateful.

He grabbed my hands and put the keys in them. I looked up and his oak-brown eyes looked into mine. I closed my hands and stumbled back, while I shook his hands off of mine and looked away. His transparent double looked like he was about to cry.

He looked down and seemed filled with regret. "We need to talk abou-" He started.

"No, we don't," I cut him off. "You made things crystal clear when you left! You cut me off, left without a word - you disappeared for months!"

"I know, but-" He tried, but now the lid was off.

"No! You just show up back here and act like nothing happened, like you didn't-" I stopped myself from continuing.

"I'm sorry," He said after the silence broke out between us, and I had my back turned towards him, trying to unlock my door.

"Yeah, whatever," I said, finally able to open my door and walk in. "Thanks again," I said as I closed my door right in front of his face.

UUrgh! I'm so done with him! I slightly regretted the way I acted, but I couldn't hold it in. If he wanted to talk, he had to be the one to listen. I dropped my bag on the floor and looked through the peep-hole. I shouldn't have. His hands were repeatedly going up to his eyes, drying his tears. Next thing I knew, he was on his knees, softly sobbing. I have to fix this, I can't just leave him there, I thought.

I opened my door, and it seemed to have startled him because he jumped up and quickly dried his tears, but his eyes were still red and glossy.

"Oh, I-" He stuttered, while he tried to come up with an excuse for why he was still here. Atleast he wasn't acting this out, as his double was intertwined with him, showing the same expression.

"I saw... I mean... I accept your apology," I began, not knowing what to say. "I still think that what you did was wrong, and I won't ever forgive your actions, but I accept your apology."

He didn't say anything, he just looked at me, with a sad smile on his face. I patted him on his shoulder, and he dragged me into a hug.

"Thank you," He whispered into my ear. "I won't disappear this time."
