If you haven't watch In a Heartbeat yet, go. Watch it. NOW! It is simply phenomenal. A spectacular, astounding, gut-wrenching, iconic, trail blazing,
[Inset a gazillion superlatives here] motion picture like no other. This is a pivotal moment for the animation industry. For the first time ever, a short animated film depicts and centres around gay characters as it's protagonists.
The short film concerns a closeted boy who has a crush on another boy and his heart's desire (literal heart) to be with him.
The film is just so deeply touching. It emphatically resonanted with the lgbt community. It portrays the kind of struggle that homosexuals endure. It displays us for who we truly are. Human. We are only human.
The movie raises awareness. That we are simply like everyone else. We all just want a little love and acceptance regardless of gender identity and sexuaul orientation.
Peeps, if there's something we can learn from the movie, it's that we should always 1) seek medical checkups to prevent unnecessary cardial nuisance 2) stay away from drugs and 3) love trumps all.
