Chapter 1: Stuck In A Storm

Hiccup and Toothless were flying in the south. Recently, he'd promised Fishlegs he'd search for the supplies needed for Gronkle Iron.
He pulled out a piece of paper, information given to him to search for the rocks.
The paper read, sandstone, iron, and a black rock, no one really knew what it was called, although, Snotlout decided to name it; the spooky-nighttime-with-no-stars-or-moon-stone.
As Hiccup was too busy reading the paper holding the ingredients, Toothless smacked Hiccup in the face with one of his ears.
"Ow!" Hiccup exclaimed, "what was that for?!"
Toothless purred and looked straight ahead at the dark clouds headed their way.
Hiccup's eyes widened. How couldn't he have noticed this?
He put the paper back into the satchel attached to Toothless' side. Hiccup's hands found their way to guide Toothless to their way.
"We better finish this soon, bud." Hiccup declared. They've been flying for 7 hours with only one break in the 4th. They were very close to their destination, yet here they were caught in the coming storm. "Let's go, bud." He said, as he leaned forward and flew faster.
After about 5 minutes into the dark clouds, you could barely see through the pouring rain. Toothless whimpered when he heard Thunder.
"It's okay, bud." Hiccup assured Toothless. Toothless nearly jumped when he heard lightning strike. Soon, it was a combination of Thunder and Lightning.
Hiccup saw the island in view, he smiled and pointed to it.
"Over there!" he told Toothless. Toothless growled in acknowledgment. They were about a mile or two away. They were relieved and almost completely forgot about the storm - that is until lightning struck Toothless' artificial tail, then Hiccup's head. They started falling. Hiccup called for Toothless', who was twirling around. Hiccup was whipped in the face by his tail and hit unconsciousness.
Soon after they hit the water, Toothless desperately tried to get ahold of his partner. Whimpering, squirming and such. Toothless struggled but fell unconscious once he hit the reef ground with Hiccup by his side.
