Morning Surprises

His blue eyes caught mine as he walked into the house.

He was wearing a grey dress shirt with long sleeves that was pushed up his arms, showing off a sleek black watch on his left wrist. He had on dark blue pants and black shoes. When I looked up to his gorgeous face again I couldn't help but blush.

He was smirking, he saw me slowly look him over and new I was checking him out.

I awkwardly looked back down to my plate as I poured syrup on my pancakes.

God I am so lame. I have been in a relationship for so long I forgot what it was like to be single again.

Ace is very handsome, I thought to myself. His hair is styled messy but it suits him perfectly and makes him come off very sexy. I looked back up to him while he was talking to Nick, he seemed so comfortable in his own skin and obviously knew how he affected women. Even I noticed when we were at the beach party, with one look from him they would have fell all over him.

Maybe he was thinking I was doing the same.

But I wont, I wont let myself fall for another stupid guy again...I cant.

He smiled at me as he sat down next to Nick at the dinning table.

"Hey Ace, I didn't know you were coming by today. Isn't that nice Kat?" Kali said as she gave me a wink.

Ace gave me a puzzled look and then a smile curled up from his lips.

I rolled my eyes at Kali and turned to look at Ace again, "She thinks we did something since she saw you leave late last night."

Ace laughed a little before he scooped up a big piece of pancake and stuffed it into his mouth.

"Ha! See, something is going on and I knew it."

"Kali stop, nothing is going on."

Kali smiled and leaned over to whisper in my ear, "Nothing yet but I'm betting this ship will sail soon."

I rolled my eyes before turning back to Nick and Ace who were now talking about some party that was going on this weekend.

"No Nick I'm not going." Ace said.

"Why? It's the best most expensive party we will go to this summer. Come on Ace!"

"Because the people bore me there and you know why."

Nick grunted as he popped a piece of bacon into his mouth.

"What party?" I asked.

"Only the best party kitty kat but this one over here always says no." Kali said as she shook her head dissatisfied by Ace's answer.

"Kitty Kat?" Ace looked at me with a huge grin.

Damn that smile is sexy I thought.

"Its always been Kali's nickname for me growing up but how come you don't want to go? It sounds like fun and distracting and I could really use a distraction." I said as I tried to hide my blushing face.

God when he says my nickname it sounds so dirty.

Ace sat there looking at me, smiling.

"Okay we can go but only under one condition." Ace states.

"Anything!" Nick and Kali yelled.

"Kat goes as my date."

"No I..." I stopped and looked at both Nick and Kali who were giving me a pleading look.

"Fine." I breathed.

Kali screamed and started yelling about how we needed to go shopping later today, she needed something amazing to wear.
