Blue Eyes

As we were walking through the crowd full of people I could tell Kali was searching for her mysterious hottie, when someone grabbed her from the side and pulled her into a deep kiss.

He had brown short hair and bushy but neat eyebrows. His eyes were the same chocolate color as Kali's and when they parted I noticed he had a little crooked smile.

"Kat this is Nick, the guy I told you about." Kali said as she slipped her hand into his.

"Hey Kat it's good to finally meet you! This is Ace my good friend!" Nick said while waving over a guy who was making his way through the crowd, with a glass of alcohol in his hand.

He had black short wavy hair but was a little longer than Nicks. His eyebrows were thick and his skin was a perfect olive color. When he looked our way I saw his light pale blue eyes that turned and focused on mine.

He handed the glass of alcohol over to Nick and said, "here Nick, next time your grabbing your own glass, that was hell."

He turned his attention back to me and continued with, "So this is Kat?"

I looked up at him since he was a little taller than me and replied, "yes I'm Kat.." I said annoyed. Why not ask me yourself I am standing right in front of you, I thought while turning my attention off of him and back to Kali, "so sis where is this fun that you were promising me tonight?"

She was about to reply when Ace cut her off by saying, "sorry did I offend you or something? Look let's start over, Hi I'm Ace." He said putting out his right hand.

Shaking my head and laughing and said, "I'm Kat." I turned and placed my hand into his as he grabbed mine and started shaking it. We both started laughing until I heard Kali say, "Nick what is happening here?"

Nick didn't reply he just patted Ace behind the shoulder and gave him a wink.

I let go of Ace's hand in a hurry and straightened myself up, I then thought geez Kat get a grip just because a guy made me laugh and forget about the last month doesn't mean anything..I'm here to have fun and that's all! I smiled and then said, "well let's go hit the bar! I'm in need of a drink."

Kali and Nick were so drunk at this point I was wondering how we'd get home considering I was feeling pretty buzzed myself.

"Nick dance wit meh!" Kali said as she slurred her words

"whatevaa you want babes! Aceth be back soon" Nick said as he put his arm around Kali's neck.

"Wow, they are hammered!" Ace said after Nick and Kali staggered to the dance floor almost tripping over each other.

"I haven't seen Kali this happy in a long time. Our parents were always so worried about her, since all she did was party and get into trouble at school." I took another drink of my red cup that was filled with alcohol before continuing.

"My parents ended up kicking Kali out, after being brought home by the police one night. They thought it would make her realize she was out of control and come back home but she never did. Instead one day she came to the house, packed most of her belongings and told everyone she was moving to California."

"Wow I bet that was a big surprise!" He said raising his eyebrows.

"It was! I mean she's not the girl to do what's expected of her but leaving New York and everyone she knew behind was crazy. She said she needed to leave in order to really be who she is and find out how to be better. Surprisingly, she's doing alot better than anyone ever thought she would.. Maybe she just needed to get away to realize she could be both, the fun crazy party girl and a responsible person...well some of the time."
