Ball Gowns

"Kat over here! This is the place I was telling you about. This is where we will find our dresses." Kali said as she pulled open the door to a very expensive clothing store.

I let out a sigh as I felt my legs throbing with each step I took. This is the nineth store she has said will be the place we find our dresses. 

We have been looking for five days now and everything we or I mean I have found is not "good enough" as my sister Kali would say.

I wanted to agrue and tell her that this is most definitely not it by the price tags on the mannequin that was dressed in the window outside but as soon as she opened the door, I saw a nice comfy couch that was calling my name. 

As Kali searched through the racks, I flopped down on what felt like a big fluffy cloud. I closed my eyes as the pain in my legs started to fade away.

"Kat what do you think your doing? We only have two days left, two days!"

I let out another deep sigh and said, "Kali I would have a dress by now if you didn't say no to everything I liked."

"But those where cheap ugly dresses, we need something like these!" Kali said as she waved her hands around the store of beautiful gowns.

"Yes Kali, these are beautiful but I would have to sell my left kidney to be able to afford anything in this store." 

Kali rolled her eyes and reached her hand down her pocket, pulling up a shiny debit card. "oh but Kat we can afford it!" she said smiling at me,  her eyes full of mischief.

"Where did you get that Kali?"

"Ace, he gave me his card and told me our dresses were on him." she said as she put the card back into her pocket, padding it down as if to make sure it wasn't going anywhere.

"No kali, Im not looking for hand outs." I said shaking my head in disbelief that she actually took his card.

"But its not a handout Kat, he would have to go to this party whether he liked to or not. We are doing him a favor by going with him and providing him with a date."

I let out a small laugh and continued with, "Kali you really believe he couldn't find himself a date on his own? I'm sure there are alot of girls waiting for such an opportunity to be with him."

Kali rolled her eyes then beamed with a smile and said, "Yeah Kat but none are you."

I felt my cheeks start to warm up before I waved the idea out of my mind. I shook my head before saying, "No handouts Kali, I wont be indebted to someone I hardly know." 

"God Kat your so hard sometimes! Look we buy the freaking dresses now and I'll help you pay off yours by getting you a part time job at the bar with me. With your looks we will be able to pay him back in a week."

"I can pay off a thousand dollars in a week? God Kali are you a stripper or what?"

"No but I do let my ladies do the talking." She said as she leaned over showing the tops of her breasts.

"I'm not doing that." I said laughing

"You don't have to, the outfit lets them out a little." She said joining me in laughter.

"You worry me sometimes Kali." I said while wiping my tears.

"So is that a yes? Will you please just stop worrying about money right now and start focusing on finding us something amazing."

"It's a yes but Kali you will be helping me pay him back."

"Deal, now get up and lets find us something breathtaking."
