A New Story

I am having a date with the floor.

All thanks to my bully for setting it up. I should set him up on a blind date with my fist. They would hit it off and have a strong connection.

He and his goons kick my stuff I dropped further away from me. I barely got to take five steps into this hell, and I'm already the laughing stock of the school. Luckily, all my papers did not fly all over the place since I am smart enough to have them securely fastened in my binders. I let out a huff of air and get up from the floor to collect my things as I glare at him.

Yes, we're really going with this cliche.

"Wow so original. It's not like you haven't tripped me before. You guys could at least be a little bit more creative." I say dryly.

"Shut your mouth doofus. Don't smart mouth us right now." He gritted his teeth give me a pointed look.

"Of course I'm going to have a smart mouth. I'm a nerd after all," I roll my eyes, "or did you forget? I bet your brain is still good as new seeing that you never use it."

I had the urge to knock on his empty skull as I said that but I held back.

"Watch it, Gabriella! Or else." He threatened.

His voice is starting to rise, and more attention is brought to the scene. Oh, how I love to make his blood boil. It is quite funny. So, I continue to rile him up for my amusement and probably for the rest of the student population.

"Oh no are you going to throw me down the stairs with my limbs poorly tied together? I'm so scared." I mock gasp, holding my hands up to my face to mock fear.

He turns from an egg to a deep red tomato in a span of a second. I can mentally see steam coming out of his ears, and it brings me great satisfaction. I smile mentally at my work.

However, this baboon butt is clearly not happy with me as dark brown eyes glared daggers at me.

One of his goons interrupts the stare down between us. "Matt, just let her go. She's just trying to waste our time."

Yes. Good boy. He has common sense.

"She'll pay later. Let's go, Carter and Dex!" He snapped, turning around and stomping his feet in the opposite direction.

I smirk and laugh at his reaction as I watch the now second, third and fourth most popular guys in the school storm the hallways. I compose myself, lower my head, looking at the ground and start to walk to my last class of the day.

The day barely started, but it was good.

The three boys I have just encountered this morning were Matthew Hernandez, Carter Rodriguez, and Dexter Martins. Star athletes with massive egos.

The leader of the pack is Matthew (if it wasn't apparent already), and Carter and Dexter have been by his side since the time I have come face to face with them. Matthew is the devil himself. Wait, nope, scratch that, since I know the devil personally. He could be his son. No, scratch that too. Let's just say, Matthew is just plain evil, manipulative, arrogant, vulgar and utmost obnoxious. Pretty much the "bad boy."

All of that will be changed soon.

Maybe.

Second in command is Carter. He is the smarter and more logical one out of the bunch. Also, he is much kinder.

Then there is Dexter. Unfortunately, for him, he is quite the opposite to Carter. The boy is quite reckless, lacks intelligence and is shameless of his actions.
