I slowly began to open my eyes.

At first I could only see a woman. She was wearing white clothes and at the moment had no facial features. My eyes started to widen and I could now see where I was. I was no longer in the cafeteria, I was in the injury room.

Again.

I started to breathe heavily as I lifted myself from the medical bed. I sat up and took in my surroundings. Toby was sat in a chair and shot up from his seat when he noticed I was awake.

Memories started coming back. I recalled everything that had happened, including the fact that Toby had managed to end up next to me in 2 milli seconds and how Ashley had broken my arm.

My arm.

I stared down at my arm and noticed it was all banded up. The nurse must know what happened, but how exactly did Toby tell her? 'Do you mind helping Annabel? Ashley broke her arm like it was nothing because she isn't human.' A shiver went down my spine at the thought. Isn't human? There was no way anyone could possess that much strength, it was impossible. My heart started racing as I panicked. What the hell are they?! Not just Ashley but Toby as well. What about that other boy surely if he is related he is one too. Maybe that's why people are scared of him! All of them!

Broken arm or not I was going to run like hell out of this school and there was nothing anyone could do about it! I got to my feet slowly and casually made a run for the door. My hand managed to grab the handle but before I could twist it, Toby was behind me. He gently put his hands on each of my shoulders and tried to make me relax.

"Please, don't be afraid." Toby whispered with a sad tone in his voice. He obviously didn't like how I had reacted to this, but how else was I supposed to react?! This was crazy. Utter bonkers! How could this even happen? I twisted the handle and pushed open the door. The nurse just stood in silence and watched and I could feel Toby slowly retract his hands from my shoulders. I could feel him giving up and letting me go. He wanted what was best for me and if I didn't want to listen then he wouldn't try to stop me. Something made me feel guilty, like I owed it to him to at least listen to what he had to say.

He was heart broken and he wasn't pressuring me to do anything. I knew that if I listened to him he would still let me go. He just wanted me to be happy.

I didn't move. I was so close to walking out the door and I could see the doors to exit the school, but I couldn't leave him. Not without knowing his side of the story no matter how crazy it was. I needed to listen and hear him out and he wanted me to so badly I knew it was important to him for me to know.

I turned back around to face him, his eyes were still blue but they had lost their brightness. Tears had filled them completely. He gave me a confused but relieved look.
I didn't smile. I would have maybe if I didn't still think he wasn't human but everything added up to that. Super speed? Strength? How every time I thought about something Ashley, Toby and even that young boy seemed as if they knew everything I was thinking.

He smiled at me through his tears and said "No more hiding and no more lies. I will tell you everything honestly, but I think it's best if I show you and with that you have to come with me."

What? He wanted me to come with him? To show me something? What if he is a psychopath?! A murderous psychopath who wants to kill me some place quiet with no phone service?!

Could I trust him?

He grabbed my not-broken-arm hand and held it gently. "I would never hurt you." He replied, bringing it close to his mouth before kissing it softly. "I don't know if it's too obvious but, Annabel, I love you. I know you probably have a lot of questions and I will explain everything, I promise. Please, get in the car, you deserve to know." He blinked and a tear dropped from his eye and slid down his cheek. He was telling the truth. I just knew it.

Plus I would carry a massive pain of guilt if I didn't go.

"Where are you taking me?" I managed to say, letting him know I was going with him. I managed to smile, even though seeing him cry, broke me.

After he saw me smile he blinked a few times and wiped his eyes quickly making them go back to being bright, no longer full of tears. He smiled back at me and whispered 'Thank you.' as he held my hand and led me to the car.

We finally made it to his car and it was pitch black outside. I must have been passed out longer than I thought because school was over. Also I didn't realise the nurse worked so late. It must have taken ages to fix my arm and I was very grateful that Toby had stayed with me the whole time.

He opened the door to the passenger's seat and gestured for me to enter. I slid into the seat and Toby shut the door. He then ended up at the other side of the car in a flash and jumped into the driver's seat, closing the door quickly behind him. It all happened so fast. Even though I had seen it before not long ago, it was still wierd.

Toby looked at me and gave me a warm smile. "Like I said, no more secrets." He gave me a wink which made me comfortable because I realised that he was the same person and still acted the same around me.

He was still Toby.

I started to think that maybe this wasn't so bad and that Toby could tell me whenever he was ready. I would try to make sense of it no matter how wacky it was.

Because, it was real.
He was real.
Supernatural wierd things are real.

Which got me wondering, what other things that we think aren't real and impossible, are real and possible?

"So, you never answered my question. Where are we going?" I asked as he turned the roaring engine on.

"Home." He replied, with a kind smile.
