Chapter 12
~*Raynes POV*~
The next morning, i got ready...with Noreens help of course. She helped me put on my makeup, and choose what to wear. She chose a fitted blue halter top, push-up brra, jean miniskirt, and silver curvy-toed heels. I put my hair down and got it ready with the oil Suzzane gave me. Then put a silver headband and silver hoop earrings.
Ive got to admit...i looked hot. Noreen put on my makeup. When i was finally done, i skipped downstairs and to the kitchen. Jake was there eating cereal. He stopped eating and looked at me. I smiled, but he didnt.
"Whats wrong, Jake?" i asked, concerned. Jake swallowed and sat straight.
"Rayne...after you succeed in hurting Jason, you're going to stop wearing that stuff right?" Jake asked. I bit my lip.
"Well...i dont know. Ever since i got the make-over...ive felt better about myself. I feel prettier. I always felt plain before...so maybe ill stay this way."
"Your not just 'staying this way', cause you want..." he trailed off. i raised an eyebrow.
"want?"
"ahem...you know...birds and the bees..." he said. my eyes widened.
"No Jake! Im not staying this way for guys! Im not Monica! After this is done, i wont wear all the same clothes, but ill keep the makeup, and hair stuff." i said. Jake relaxed and stood up. He walked over to me and hugged me.
"Ok Rayne. Just promise me something. Ive been taking care of you for as long as i can remember. I never, ever want you hurt. So...i wont forbid you to go out with Ryder, cause i know if he sets his mind to anything, he'll succeed. And if he really likes you...then he wont hurt you." he said. I smiled and hugged him tighter.
"But. After school, we are going to buy you birth contrl." he said. I stepped back and gave Jake a weird look.
"What makes you think--"
"trust me Rayne. I know Ryder. Not only wont you be able to resist him, but if he's going to quit being a player for you, you need to take care of him." Jake smirked, wiggling his eyebrows. I blushed.
"Ok then." i said quietly.
"And one more thing."
"what?" i asked afraid.
"Never, ever, ever become like Monica, Kelly and Opal. Got it?" he asked smiling. I smiled and nodded. He doesnt have to worry about that.
When we got to school, Jenny and Lauren were waiting by the doors as usual. I ran to them, as best as i could in heels and we hugged.
"hubba hubba hubba! Rayne, you look gorgeous!" Jenny said. Lauren nodded in agreement. I smiled and thanked them. Then we entered the school. I could feel peoples eyes on me, and hear them whisper and gossip.
I ignored it as best as i could, and continued to my locker. When i got there, Ryder was waiting for me.
"Hey Rayne." He smiled, as i walked up to him. I smiled back, and as soon as i reached him, he put his arms on my waist and kissed me. I was still a bit new to kissing, but i warmed up again, and kissed him back.
When we released, Lauren and Jenny were glaring at me.
"Rayne Bryson! You will tell me exactly what is going on with you two." Jenny asked me. I blushed.
"Uhh...what do you mean?"
"What you mean, what do i mean?! You just kissed Ryder Pulton! Tell me that wasnt JUST for the plan?"
"Not really.." I said. Lauren was still glaring.
"Not really what?" she asked. Ryder smirked and held my hand.
"Not really just for the plan." he said. I smiled and looked at Jenny who was smiling in a way that scared me.
Her smile said: I knew it. You finally have a guy and i can tease you about it till you die.
Lauren growled softly, then...walked away? Ryder sighed in relief and i laughed at him. Jenny was still smiling like an idiot.
"So are you two an item?" she asked. I blushed, but Ryder answered.
"We'll see, after i take her out tonight, if she wants me." he said. I turned to look at him.
"Take me out?"
"Yep. You have to go out with me, then see if you want to be my girl friend." he smiled. I smiled. I already know the answer to that question, but i wont say it till later.
We split, and went to our classes. As i entered mine, Jason and Kyle were sitting in their usual spots, texting and flirting. When they saw me they stopped and stared. Jason was eye-rapin me and Kyle was actually drooling.
I pretended not to notice, and talked and laughed with Jenny as we sat down. 5 minutes later, Jason walked up to me. He smiled his best smile, and held out his hand.
"hi, Im Jason. Whats your name?" he asked, with his usual smoothness. Jenny and i laughed out hearts out. He didnt recognize me!
"Aww, you mean you dont know, Jase?" i asked, pretending to be hurt. He raised an eyebrow.
"What?"
"Come on, Jason...remember me at all?" i asked again. Jenny was giggling and crying with laughter.
"No...did we ever..."
"Noooo...ill give you a hint...im not looking at you. Im looking through you." i said. Jasons eyes narrowed, and he seemed in deep thought.
"ITS PLAIN RAYNE!" Kyle burst with astonishment. Jasons eyes widened again and his jaw dropped to the floor.
"RAYNE?!" he asked. I nodded smiling.
"What! but...you...you were...you are..."
"beautiful, isnt she?" Jenny asked. I scoffed.
"Oh come on, Jenny. Im nothing special." i lied, knowing at the moment, i was pretty. Jason and Kyle were gaping still.
"She's right Rayne! Your...hot!" Kyle said. I smirked.
"Yeah, i guess i am. Its a curse." i winked. Our teacher came in and she was tired.
"Jason, Kyle please sit down." she said.
"In a sec, ya old hag." Jason said. We all gasped as teacher actually shuttup. Jason looked me up and down, his eyes lingering on my chest, hips and legs.
"Like what you see?" i smirked. Jason nodded as his eyes skimmed me. Monice and Kelly scoffed.
"Come on, Jason." Monica cooed. Kyle sat back down, and Jason followed slowly, his eyes not leaving my body.
"Now...lets get back to business, eh Jason?" the teacher said. Jason was too busy looking at me, to hear her.
"Jason?" no answer.
"JASON!" she called. Jason snapped out of it and looked at teacher.
"wha-? oh, oh, yeah. ok." he said, opening his books. I smirked to myself. This is going to be fun.
