CHAPTER 5
~*Raynes POV*~
"Hello?" i answered.
"Rayne?" a guy voice asked. It seemed familiar, but i couldnt figure it out.
"Who is this?" i asked.
"Your true love, Rayne. I love you, and everything about you. You are amazing, and no one else captures my attention, but you." the voice said. I gasped. Wow...whoever this is has no good taste at ALL.
"Whats your name?"
"Thats not important. The imprtant thing is, that i love you. You make me feel things i never felt before, Rayne Bryson."
"So your just going to keep creeping me out with notes, flowers, and phonecalls?"
"Oh no, i want to meet you. Ive seen you at school, but ive never got the chance to REALLY getto know you."the guy said. I smiled slightly. Well, whoever it is obviously likes me for me, so he cant be all bad...right? Im actually a bit excited to meet this guy.
"So where and when?" i asked.
"Tommorow, at the Gym after school. I'll be there waiting love." he said.
"Umm...ok, ill see you there!" i said.
"Ok, great! Bye Rayne." he said, hanging up. I sighed and sat on my bed. Noreen poked her head in.
"So youve got a date?" she asked smiling.
"No, im just meeting someone." i said. She was eavesdropping again.
"A guy who apparently gave you flowers, notes and phone calls." she said. I rolled my eyes.
"Well...yeah" i said. Noreen laughed and sat by me.
"So did you find me a guy?" she asked. I shook my head.
"No, but i have time. Tommorow ill get you one for SURE." i smirked. Noreen laughed.
"Good luck sissy, good luck." she smiled, leaving again.
The next day, i was all gitery. I was shaking a bit, and Jenny and Lauren were yelling at me.
"WHAT THE FUDGE IS UP?!" Lauren asked. I smiled.
"Remember that creeper that wrote the note, and left the flowers?" i asked. Jenny and Lauren (who was informed on this earlier) nodded.
"Well, he called me and wants to meet up with me! Today!" i said. The girls squealed and hugged me.
"Wow! Whatd he say?!" Jenny asked.
"He said how much he loves me, and wants to get to know me better!" i said, smiling. The girls smiled.
"Im happy for you, Rayne." Lauren smiled. I nodded.
"I never knew that someone could like me like that, you know?" I asked. Jenny nodded.
"The guy obviously has some moral qualities, Rayne. Your nice, pretty, kind, smart, generous, and bunches of other stuff!" Janny said. I smiled.
"Thanks, even though half of it isnt true." i said. Jenny scoffed and we went to class. Jake bumped into me later on that day.
"Hey sissy, why are you so happy?" he asked, smiling, with Maya next to him.
"SHE HAS A SECRET ADMIRER WHO ASKED TO ME UP WITH HER AFTER SCHOOL!" Lauren burst. I glared at her.
"Sorry.." she whispered. Jake raised an eyebrow.
"Really Rayne?" he asked. I nodded shyly. Jake smiled.
"Thats great! Finally you're dating! Your pretty, so i knew it was only a matter of time." Maya squealed. Jake smiled.
"She's right! Good luck and congrats sis. Does the guy like you?" he asked.
"YEAH he does, he wrote her a note, sent flowers and called her to tell her he loves her." Jenny smiled. I swear, these girls tell everything to my brother.
" Wow...well, good luck sissy, ive got to go." Jake said, and Maya and him left.
Finally the last bell rang. I quickly put my things in my locker, and slowly and nervously walked to the gym. Lauren and Jenny begged to come along and hide, just to see who he was. I agreed finally and they squealed like little girls.
We entered the dark gym, and looked around. I saw a dark figure in the far side of the gym. The figure looked over to me and waved. I smiled and walked over.
When i got closer, the figure was more visible. Oh god....Jason?!
"Jason?" i asked. Jason smiled. "Youre the one who gave the note and flowers? and called me?" i asked shocked. Jason laughed.
"Yeah i did." he smiled.
"Do you...did you...when you..." i couldnt find a way to say it, but Jason laughed again.
"No, Rayne. NEVER!" he laughed. Kyle and Shane came out from behind a mat stack. They were laughing like lunatics.
"What?" i asked, nervously. This was a...joke?
"YOU ARE HILARIOUS RAYNE! Yo uactually thought someone would LIKE you?! Like, like you? Like as a boyfriend?! You suck girl! Seriously?! WHO in their friggin right mind would like you? Your just 'Plain Rayne'! Nothing else, Rayne. Thats all you are. I cant believe you thought you had an admirer!" Jason laughed.
I cant believe it! this was all a big lie! I was right! No one in their right mind would like me...ever. Im "Plain Rayne". No one would ever like or love me. UGH! im so stupid! I was crying uncontrolably now. How could he?! Jason! Hegot myhopes up for nothing!Made me feel special and important for a good long while! The only thing worse than a player, is a player who knows how to hurt you.
"Seriously, Rayne. You can have your crushes, but no one will love you." Shane smiled. I was crying now and im sure my face was red.
"Lets go guys, we had our fun" Kyle laughed. "Can you actually believe that she thought that she was attractive in any way?!"
They all laughed and exited the gym, leaving me crying and sitting on the floor.
