JAYYS POV-
I clutched the pencil into my hand harder as I watched the ticking clock.
I couldn't wait for class to be over, I don't want to be in school, not today.
I looked to my left, there was Dahvie smiling and giggling about something our math teacher, Mrs. Kuzmak said.
I looked to my right, Daniel was told to sit next to me. I didn't know what I do.. My heart is pounding, my legs are shaking.
"H- Hey, Jayy?" Daniel whispered, as he stared into my eyes, tapping his fingers on the desk.
I froze for a second before opening my mouth, "Y- Yeah?" I stuttered, unbelieved that Daniel was here. Right here, and right now.
Daniel shifted his desk so that his desk was closer to mine. "Do you wanna hang out after school?" He asked me, his legs unsteady. They were wobbling all over the place under his gray desk.
I looked over at Dahvie, he was beaming a smile then the smile shriveled, becoming lost like it was never there. His solemn face was focused on something he was writing. Like a machine he was making details and marks onto his paper, making some picture or a portrait.
Dahvie and I had plans after school.. I'd hate to disappoint him, and leave him to hang out with Daniel but..
But we just have so much to catch up on..
I shifted my head onto my hand that was standing on my desk, clutching and holding my chin lightly as the hand held up my head.
I didn't notice it, but Daniel was still staring at me. I looked back over at Daniel and he quickly moved his head to look at the teacher, pretending he was listening.
I looked at Daniel as I awkwardly gave him a smile. "Daniel." I whispered as I tapped on his desk with one of my fingers.
He shifted his head to look at me, my gaze took advantage as he stared into my eyes. "I'll meet you after school. Im still living in the same house, if you remember where that is." I giggled, putting my hand over my mouth and innocently laughing. Daniel nodded and focused back onto the teacher.
"JAYY MONROE." The teacher yelled across the room. "For the millionth time, Id like you to answer B." Mrs. Kuzmak yelled, putting a hand on her hip as everyone turned around to look at me.
I looked down, seeing the problem book and my notebook, "Oh, im sorry, but what question are we on again? I got kinda lost.." I explained innocently, as Dahvie put his hand on his mouth and gave a light giggle.
"Of course Jayy." Mrs. Kuzmak smiled, looking back on the chalkboard. Thank satan I'm one of her favorites. "Problem B. on question 8- 75." Mrs. Kuzmak replied, as I turned my pages to find 8- 75.
7+x=35 the problem read.
"Easy. If we subtract seven from thirty five that equals twenty eight." I explained, constantly looking up and down from the book.
"Correct, thank you Jayy." Mrs. Kuzmak smiled, then going on to some lecture that doesn't matter.
AFTER SCHOOL-
I walked with Dahvie after school, I hauled my backpack over my shoulder as Dahvie grabbed my hand as we walked out the front door.
I love how Dahvie can always make somebody feel so good whenever they needed it.
"So that Daniel guy.." Dahvie giggled adorably. "It seems you really fancy him." He smiled, looking back at me.
"You know, he was my ex.." I mumbled, stepping on the sidewalk as I stared at my shoes.
"I know." Dahvie replied, looking down to his black Osiris's.
"I- I don't think I'm quite over him.." I replied, looking back at Dahvies lovely face.
Dahvies happy smile faded, but seconds later it reappeared, "Don't worry Jayy. If you need anyone, Im here." He said, giving me another loving smile, as we walked together
.
"Yeah. Thanks Dahvs." I smiled back as we crossed the street and were back on the sidewalk. "Oh yeah.. And about tonight.." I trailed off, looking at the sidewalk.
"IT'S GOING TO BE SO FUN!" Dahvie yelled enthusiastically, raising his hand that was holding mine up, as both of our hands were in the air. He soon put his hand down and looked into my eyes, "Don't you agree?"
"About that.. Dahvie.. I'm not going to be able to come over today.." I said, looking forward and not daring to look at him.
"Wha? But why?" Dahvie pouted as his eyes grew big. "Oh.. Daniel?" He asked, looking down.
"Uh.. Yeah.." I confessed as I looked at the clouds.
"We'll, there's my house.." Dahvie said, slightly rolling his eyes. "I guess I'll see you later.." He said, passing me a worried look as he let go of my hand and approaching his house.
DAHVIES POV-
I threw myself onto my bed as tears started to flow out of my eyes, almost creating waterfalls.
"OF COURSE HE GOES FOR THE OTHER GUY, HE WAS GOING TO FIND SOMEONE ELSE ANYWAY." I yelled in dismay, clutching the bedsheets in my grasp.
JAYYS POV-
*two weeks later*
Daniel and I have been having a blast! We've been going on rides and events, seeing movies together, going to restaurants, going to parks and carnivals. The last two weeks have been so fucking rad!
Daniel smiled at me as we were looking at the stars as we sat on top of my roof, something we used to do all the time when we were dating.
Daniel moved his hand on top of mine as I gladly accepted his warm hand as he took a grip on my hand,
"Jayy." He he said all dreamy-like as he stared into my eyes, making me focus on his gorgeous chocolate eyes.
"Yeah?" I replied as I got lost in his eyes. Now that Daniel was back, I wonder If everything is going to go back like it used to.
"I- I wanted to know if.. If you would be mine.. My boyfriend, that is. Like old times. Would you? My family isn't planning on moving any time soon, I promise." He said, throwing a beaming smile onto his face.
"I- I need to think about it.." I stuttered as I bit a part of my lip.
"O- okay." He said as he stood up, "I'll see you tomorrow, Kay?" He said before he jumped off my roof and started to walk back to his house.
