Chapter 3 - Tone Death

As I was peaceful sleeping in my Death Song form, I only was one since Hiccup was studying them the other day. I heard them land and walk in with a egg. I walk over to the egg, look familiar to me. I look at Hiccup confused while he and Fishlegs were looking at the Book of Dragon.

"Well, it's definitely not a Changwing." Hiccup said and Fishlegs sighed in relief. "Thank Thor." "And not the type of any of our dragons." That made me feel sad for Toothless. "Oh, can you imagine Meatlug with her very own egg? It would be so cute. Aww."Fishlegs said petting Meatlug happily. Well from me being every dragon I know what egg it is, just can't remember the name.

"I don't think it's in here Fishlegs." Hiccup said looking at the book still. Tuffnut look at his chicken who seemed to be eyeing the egg. "Well, someone certainly has their own idea on what it is." The chicken jump on top of the egg, as a Death Song dragon and knowing what egg it is. I wanted to fire at the chicken, but instead I growled at it.

"Look who's feeling motherly? Aren't you, little chicken? Give me a kiss." Tuffnut said walking over to the chicken putting his finger out for her to kiss. Instead, it cluck and bit his finger. "Ow! Easy pal, I'm on your side." He said holding his hand protecting it. Fishleg started to laugh walking over to Hiccup. "If your going to hatch that egg, I think you're gonna need a little bit more power than that chicken. But it was a nice try." He said, looking at the chicken smiling,

"Don't listen to him chicken. Hater gonna hate, hatcher's gonna hatch." Tuffnut said to his chicken. "And buddy your a-hatcher." He said putting his hands on his hips smiling at his chicken. "We should check the Dragon Eye notes again, just to be sure." Hiccup said looking at Fishlegs. "Okay but I didn't see anything in their about eggs or hatchings." Fishlegs said walking with Hiccup away and stopping near the door.

I heard a crack and look at the egg, it started to hatch. "Uh, guys?" Tuffnut said, "Not now Tuff." Hiccup said, Tuff shrug, "Okay." He sat down watching the egg hatching as it became louder making Fishlegs and Hiccup look at him. "Tuffnut!" Hiccup said, "Why didn't you say something?" Fishlegs said Tuffnut look a bit shock while he said," Really?" We watch the egg hatch while Tuff said another weird thing. "Makes you wonder what came first. The chicken or the chicken?" I shook my head as I heard those words, no sense again. Just as I finish that thought the egg burst open making Tuff scream and flying the chicken off the egg. I look at the baby dragon which was squeaking a little as it stretch out it's wings and yawned.

"What is that?" Fishlegs said, "It's familiar, but I can't place it." Hiccup said and just then it purred then started to scream out. "Oh no! No, no, no! Stop! Stop!" Tuff said covering his ears as did Hiccup. "I like him better when he was inside." Fishlegs said, I nuzzled the dragon trying to make it stop, didn't work so well. Later that night I was laying in the floor with him, but he kept on crying while Astrid, Hiccup and Toothless were covering their ears.

"Can someone please shut that thing up!" Snotlout said like he was going to lose it. "Aww it probably needs it's mother, Poor thing, all by itself." Heather said, Snotlout then said, "That's what I was trying to say." I shook my head, no one knows this baby is a Death Song, I'm in my Death Song form still and no one notice it looking like me? Some people are blind like really you can't see? "I got it!" Tuff said, "What? What is it?" Hiccup said, "Garffilgorg." Tuff said, Hiccup, Astrid and Toothless look at him confused. "That's his name." Tuff said, his sister Ruff said, "Who cares what we call it? Not like it's listening to us anyway."

"Chicken cares! I mean it did come out of her." Tuff said, poor Tuff no it didn't. "Tuffnut she didn't actually..." Hiccup started to say and Tuff gave him a look Hiccup look away, "N-Nevermind." The screeching of it became louder and louder as I was inside the cage with him. They look at me then him, "Oh. How are the dragon's gonna sleep with this little guy in here?" Fishlegs said looking at everyone else. "It's on them, not us Fishface." Snot said walking up to him, "But please free to babysit that thing if you want!" He said and I growled at him a little.
