I stare at the two men astonished "so mermen and mermaids are real!"
I giggled out as I played with there webbed ears
"yes, we are and this little guy here." the blonde said nudging the blunette "has taken a liken to ya." he said smiling and the boy who was holding me blushed brightly
"I-I do not!" he yelled I giggled softly
"well, any ways what are your guy's name's?" I asked
"im taiyou, and this is mizu." taiyou said holding his hand out "pleasure to meet ya."
I smiled about to move my hand returning the kind gesture but I was interrupted
by laughter and I sighed loudly
"hide now!" I quietly whispered out
they both nodded and hid underwater. soon the girls from my school
named shin (brunette), and nagisa (pinkette)
had walked over to where I was standing in the water
they both laughed at me as the water from before dripped from my hair
"hey, water girl having fun swimming with the fish~" shin said snickering
"well she should enjoy it I mean she smells like a fish rotten and dirty." nagisa said
"no wonder your father left your pathetic mother you both stink like fish."
those little comments hurt me, and memories flooded back of how
my parents had gotten into a fight and my father packed his bags and left
leaving my mother crying and me softly crying in my room

while taiyou and I hid I heard a little drop and I looked towards the sound and I saw
a tear drop like light and I tilted my head and it scattered everywhere
I immediately knew they had made her cry so I used my tail and splashed them

I cried more but I heard a huge splash and I saw the girls were drenched in water
they screamed and ran home to go dry and fix there make up
I saw mizu pop out of the water and swim to me fastly
when he got right in front of me I felt warm yet slightly chilling arms around me holding me tight
"did they hurt you." mizu asked
I blushed softly but I shook my head no slightly smiling
"no, but thanks for caring." I smiled softly
I noticed mizu blushed and looked away
"hey, do you have friends?" taiyou asked softly
"no, I don't." I said looking down
"we'll be your friends." mizu and taiyou said at the exact same time
