My Lover's Doppleganger

Chapter 9

I growled as I heard the sound of my alarm blaring through my eardrums pulling me out of my peaceful sleep, probably the best one I've had in days. I've slept with a smile on my face, as I recalled last night's events. It was scary how fast my feelings for Aaron were growing. I've only known him for a few days and I already couldn't shake his image from my mind. I smiled as the memory of our embrace flashed in my head, only to be quickly wiped off as my second alarm started ringing again. 

Fuck, it's Monday.

I slowly dragged myself out of bed and headed to the bathroom. However, it was occupied. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion as I heard the water running. Lily doesn't usually take showers in the morning, and neither does my mom.

Suddenly, The water stopped running pulling me out of my thoughts. Shortly after, I heard the door open.

I looked up to see Aaron standing there, with only a towel hanging low on his waist. 

"Oh, Good morning, Rose." He said once he noticed me.

"G...Good morning." I stuttered as I stared breathless at the sight of Aaron, his hair was wet, few strands fell on his beautiful eyes, as droplets of water dripped down his abs. My eyes scanned his gorgeous body before landing on his face. 

I felt my face flush as I looked into his eyes, he was smirking at me, clearly knowing that I was checking him out.

"Y-You were taking so long." I mumbled.

"Yeah, sorry. It was my first shower in days. I finally feel fresh and clean." He replied, smiling down at me.

God, that beautiful smile. 

I gulped as I looked into his eyes, trying my best to not let my eyes wander to any other places.

"Good for you." I replied as I quickly pushed past him to enter the bathroom, avoiding any other awkward encounters.

"So, who do you think is hotter, Tyler or Aaron?" Megan said as soon as we sat on our table during lunch break.

Hearing his name again brought me back to last night, no matter how friendly that hug was, I couldn't deny the feelings I felt when his arms wrapped around me, I couldn't deny the warmth I felt when his body pressed against mine, I kept trying to convince myself that maybe the reason behind all those feelings was the fact that he looked exactly like Tyler, maybe I wasn't over him just yet.

But still, I couldn't help but smile at the memory.

"Are you seriously asking me that?"

"What? I'm just curious because I personally think Aaron is cuter." She replied, smirking at me.

"They are twins, Megan. They're basically the same person." I said trying to convince myself rather than Megan. Because indeed, Aaron was cuter.

"You can choose both if you want." Sky said, wiggling her eyebrows causing me to laugh at her perverted mind.

"Guys stop! Tyler has been my crush since freshman year but I'm over it now, and Aaron is just a friend."

"A friend, who is cute, and hot, and lives in the same house as you." Megan stated matter-of-factly.

"Shut up." I said, but still not denying everything she said, Aaron was cute, cuter than Tyler if that was even possible. And seeing him this morning, half naked. I'd say he's more attractive than any guy I have ever seen, I only realized now how hard it's gonna be to live under the same roof as him knowing that I wouldn't be able to control my feelings for him that were only getting stronger. And that thought, scared the fuck out of me.
