Third POV
Vale was under siege as several thousand Grimm could be seen attacking the city and White Fang were using it as a distraction to attack Beacon. Several Bullheads were evacuating civilians and huntsman who chose to run. During this, however, Torchwick had used it to get to the Atlas Flagship. As many people were wounded or killed, HE was holding off Grimm while Alex was fighting his way to Beacon. Him and his Beowulf, Lucky, were making their way towards the courtyard when they saw several White Fang troopers get in their way.
Alex POV
'Fuck, I don't have time for this.' I thought as I drew my Volt out and got ready to fight. That's when the squad attacked. One of them tried to get in close with their sword but was immediately gunned down as I pushed forward. The rest fired on me but they missed, a lot. 'These guys have worse aim then Storm Troopers.' I thought as I took down two more. The others some started to fall back as Lucky and I made our way towards Beacon. We had fought our way through the hordes as we made it to the courtyard. When we got there, I could hear fighting in the distance so I ran to it. "Lucky, keep the courtyard clear!" I shouted to him as I ran to the sound of combat. When I got there, though, I saw Adam about to cut down both Yang and Blake. "Hey asshole!" I said as I shot at him with my wingman elite. He blocked as he turned around.
"Alex." Blake said quietly as she looked at me.
"Blake, get Yang outta here. I'll deal with this fucker." I said as Blake grabbed Yang and ran off.
"So, your this so called Alexander Ryan I've heard so much about." Adam said as we circled each other.
"There's only one Alexander Ryan, and that's me." I said with a smirk under my helmet.
"Then you won't be making it out of here alive." He said as we charged at each other. We traded blow for blow. Him with his sword and me with my data knife. The difference being that I was trained to be a soldier and he wasn't. As he swung his sword for a vertical slash I kicked him in the wrist, causing him to stagger back a bit as his sword was implanted into the wall. He growled as he turned back around only to have a boot to the face. He was sent into the wall as I continued my assault on him. He tried fighting back with a few punches and kicks but I was able to dodge them with ease. He tried once more to punch me but ended with him getting his fist caught and bent. He looked at me as he kneeled down only to receive a fist to the face, causing him to slide across the pavement with blood showing. He tried to get up but was too weak to do so as his aura had failed. He soon passed out as I grabbed the sword from the wall as well as its sheathe. I soon met up with HE as he finished of his fight with the enemy Paladin. "Glad to see that you made it buddy." I said as he looked at me.
"Protocol 2: uphold the mission. We are to defend Beacon until told otherwise." HE said as he opened up the cockpit. I soon embarked as we made our way up the tower. Once we got up there, we saw Jaune and his Titan fighting who I presume to be the ringleader. As she was loosed an arrow at Jaune, HE deployed his kinetic shield, stopping the arrow mid flight.
"You alright buddy?" I asked as he got up.
"I will be when we kill this bitch." He said as got out his Volt. I disembarked and got out the Accelerator. She was outnumbered until we saw a fucking dragon?! When the hell did that show up.
"Okay, change of plans. Jaune, you and TK protect the bullheads from the aerial Grimm. HE and I will deal with her and the dragon." I said as he nooses and embarked, heading towards the bullheads to give them air support. As he did, a fight ensued between the ringleader, Cinder Fall, and I while HE fought the dragon. I was able to overpower her as she then rose up and started shooting flames out of her hands. "Great, now I gotta deal with this shit." I said as I prepared for combat. We traded blow for blow as we were evenly matched in both skill and strength, but I had endurance and speed on my side. I was able to outlast her as I was finally able to best her. HE, however, was barely able to hold out. That was when thousands of Grimm started to swarm the tower. "I don't think either of us are making it out of this one, huh buddy." I said as I looked at HE. What I didn't realize was that he had just picked me till it was too late. "Woah, HE what are you doing?!" I asked in shock as I looked at him.
"Protocol 3: Protect the pilot." He said as he gave me one last thumbs up before preparing to throw me. "Trust me." Was the last thing he said before throwing me and using his exposed core to finish off the Grimm.
"HHHHEEEEEE!!!" I shouted as I saw the explosion go off, taking the whole tower down and killing all the Grimm stragglers. "HE...."
Third POV
The explosion could be seen in the distance as many people watched as the tower fell from the evac camp. The surviving soldiers all saluted as they had thought Alex was caught in the blast. All of Team JNPR were in shock as the tower fell. Team RWBY was the same but Blake took it the worst. She had thought that she had lost the one she loved and was crying about what had happened. All the teams that were there could do nothing but salute the fallen soldier.
Alex POV
I had gotten up to see the explosion still there as I had found a different pilot uniform. A cloak kit. I decided to switch into it and put my other one in my pack. I knew that from this point on, things were going to be different.
