Alex POV
Today was a new day, and not just any day but the start of the Vytel Festival and Tournament. I was pretty excited because HE and I were going to fight paladins, this world's version of a Titan. We were even being put on the same team as Jaune since he has his Titan back. It some how founds it's way to him and gave him his armor. I guess it used the Neural Link to find him. Well, all I can say is that this is gonna be one hell of a competition. After getting into my pilot uniform, I went over to the bullhead that took all the teams participating in the tournament to the arena. After the bullhead had landed, we all went to our designated seats and teams that were fighting went to their starting positions. There were so many fights against teams that I didn't really pay much attention to them, well, all except team RWBY's match. I was more focused on Blake, though. She really was good at what she did. She was using every tactic and attack she knew to help her team achieve victory. After they won their match, I decided to congratulate them on their victory. "Hey." I said as I walked up to them.

"Hey Alex, did you see the match, we kicked serious butt." Ruby said with excitement as Yang was keeping her calm.

"Yeah, you four did excellent out there and I'm sure you're families would be proud." I said as they smiled at what I said. After having a long conversation we decided to head to the courtyard. Well, some of us anyways. Yang and Blake went else where while Ruby, Weiss and I went to meet some of their family. What surprised me was that Weiss had hugged someone who I'm guessing was her sister. I didn't really pay much attention until they came over to me.

"Winter, this is Alexander Ryan. He's the one that helped bring in Torchwick." She said to her sister.

"Sup." I said as I twirled my data knife a bit.

"Hello there, I'm Winter Schnee, it's nice to meet you." She said as two robots followed her.

"Nice to meet you, too." I said as I sheathed my knife.

"I was told you had a machine called a Titan, but I don't see one." Winter said as she looked around.

"HE, get over here." I said into my coms as HE walked over to the courtyard. Everyone who wasn't from Vale stared in awe as HE walked over to the four of us. I could tell Winter was just as surprised due to the fact that she was looking up with her mouth open. "Winter Schnee, this HE. HE, this is Winter Schnee." I said as HE stood next to me.

"Greetings Ms. Schnee, I am HE-9897." HE said as he stood at the ready.

"Oh, it's nice to meet you, too." She said as she regained her composure.

"Well, we better be off, we have a match to win." I said as HE and I started walking towards the bullhead to prep for our battle. The moment we landed, though, we heard an explosion from the Beacon Courtyard. "How did I see that coming" I asked HE.

"This is Beacon, Alex, anything can happen." HE told me.

"Good point." I said as we got to the arena's tunnel where the competitors enter the arena grounds. As we got halfway, we saw two paladins. These ones, however, had the Atlas logo on them instead of the White Fang. After embarking and choosing our load-out, we stepped into the arena.

"Welcome everyone to the battle of the ages. To our right, we have the home field defender Alexander Ryan and HE!" Port said as many of the spectators cheered as many knew who we were. "To our left is the Atlas Paladin Pilots, James and Joseph!" He said as many cheered for them. They may have numbers but they lack what HE and I have, and that's teamwork. They may have it as friends with each other, but they lack it with their Paladins. They don't stand a chance against either of us. "With introductions out of the way, let's see what kind of map we get." Port said as a city was made in the field. I knew this city like the back of my hand. All it's streets and back alleys. How could I not remember the city I grew up in. As soon as the buzzer sounded, the match began.

Third POV

"Hey guys, isn't it a little unfair that Alex has to fight two paladins while there's only one of him?" Ruby asked her team as they all continued to watch.

"It is a little unfair in numbers. Than again, Alex has HE with him and we all know how those two fight." Yang said as one of the Paladins was thrown into the ground as it's legs were blown of.

"I think the two paladins are the ones who are out matched." Weiss said as the fight went on.

"Alex is capable of beating them in only a few hits, he's probably prolonging the battle to show off." Blake said as she could be seen blushing as the Ronin's sword core was activated.

"Sword Core online." HE said as he drew his sword as electricity raced from the blade. This caught everyone's attention, even the general's. As the Paladin rushed in to strike, HE dodged and swung his blade at the Paladin's legs, severing them from the torso. As the Paladin landed on the ground with a crash, HE sheathed his sword and Alex disembarked. After disembarking, the whole arena was filled with cheers.

"There you have it folks, the winner of the mech battle is Alex and HE!" Oobleck said as the crowd cheered.

Alex POV

I was at one of the vending machines getting something to drink when I was greeted by Blake. "Hey Alex." She said as she took off my helmet and kissed my cheek.

"Hey." I said to her as I got her a green tea. After the drinks vended, I handed her the can as she pulled the pin, and popped it open.

"Thanks." She said as she took a sip. I opened mine as I took a sip of it. "I saw your battle. I was impressed you were able to take on two paladins."

"They lacked teamwork with their paladins, and all they saw them as were tools. Me, HE is like the brother I never had." I said as o took another sip. After taking the drink away from my mouth, Blake took that chance to give me a quick kiss. All I did was blush as she smiled and licked her lips.

"Your lips taste like strawberries." She said with a smile on her face.

"I m-mean I am d-drinking a strawberry soda." I stuttered to say as she giggled a bit.

"I like that." She said as she wrapped her arms around my neck. I was still in a bit of shock and nervousness since this was completely different from how she usually asked. Luckily her scroll went off. "Excuse me for a sec." She said as she took the call. After a bit, she came back. "I need to go to my team for a bit, but we'll continue this at a later time." She said as she left, swaying her hips as she left. I was a bit taken back at this as I put my helmet back on. Though, I kinda passed out due to what just happened.
