Alex POV
It had been a few weeks since I arrived at the Menagerie, and honestly, it was a beautiful place. I didn't come here for the scenery, though, I came for the object that crash landed here: the other half of the ship. I was already three fourths of the way there, and anyone could see it from here. However, before I could get any closer a few desert beowulves showed up, as well as their alpha.

Alex: Well, this is gonna be fun, who's first?

I said as I pulled out my accelerator. Several of them charged at me as I stood there. When they got close enough, I lit up the first one with a barrage of bullets. One punched at me but I turned around and used the grapple kit I used to slam them into the ground, shattering its skull. Another came from the front as I took out my data knife and slid under it, cutting it open. As a few more came at me, I took out my wingman revolver and shot each one in the head. Several more charged as I took out my archer missile, once they had gotten close together, I fired a missile at them and left a small crater where they once stood. That's when the alpha decided to fight. We stared each other down as I had my data knife out and they prepared their claws. We then ran at each other as he lunged, hoping to sink his claws through my torso. He didn't get far as I slid and held my knife up, cutting him down the middle and severing him in half. As his body disappears, the rest of the pack turns tail and runs. Once they had left, I started heading further into the desert. After I had made it to my destination, I saw the other half of the ship. As I made my way inside, I saw one titan that was still on the racks as I went up to it.

A.T.-1313

As I looked up at them, they soon activated as I stood my ground.

AT: I-I-Identification required. Identify yourself.

Alex: This is Alexander Ryan of the SRS Frontier Militia. Operating Number 013.

After a few seconds, he finally spoke.

AT: Identification confirmed, welcome back Alex, I am AT-1313. Where is your Titan?

Alex: He, uh, he's gone. He... he saved me.

AT: Confirmed... Protocol 1 updated... Establishing Neural Link.

As he said that, the clamps holding him back were released as he picked me up and placed me in the cockpit. I didn't fight back, I needed a Titan if I was to be called a pilot, and Alph was the closest thing I could get. As soon as it started, I felt the needle head into the back of my neck as the neural link was made.

AT: Protocol 1... Complete; Protocol 2... Uphold the mission, no mission currently active, awaiting orders from pilot; Protocol 3... Protect the Pilot... ready when you are.

As soon as I dismounted, I remembered all the good times HE and I had as we were still connected by the link, and I sure am gonna miss him.

Alex: Alright, let's go. First we need to get into contact with the rest of the Militia Forces that are still out there. They need to know that we need to protect this planet, and we need the planet to know that we are ready to help them.

Alph: Roger that pilot, the communication console is still in working order, and the generator is still active.

Alex: Good, well need every resource that we can get if we want to make sure this planet and the Militia hear us.

Alph: Roger that, let's get going.

After that, we started getting to work on the radio antenna.

//Timeskip brought to you by Chibi Alex and Chibi Alph fixing the radio antenna//

After the both of us had finished fixing the radio antenna, we set up a small projector that was hooked up to the console. Before we started, Alph came up to me.

Alph: Are you sure this is a good idea pilot.

Alex: Positive, Alph, start the recording.

Alph: Recording Started.

Third POV

All across Remnant, people were either walking around the large cities, in their homes, or within villages. Everything appeared normal until a person replaced what was on screen of most networks, minus military except for the scattered SRS Militia Forces.

Alex: Hey there, most of you probably don't know me while some of you do. My name is Alexander Ryan, but you can call me Alex. Several months ago, the ship I was in crash landed here and almost all of the crew had escaped except for me. I know there are still Militia out there, and trust me when I say this, you're not alone. As for why I'm currently on the screen, well, I'm sure everyone has heard of what had transpired at Beacon a few months ago.

Many people looked down at this, knowing what had happened was a major up roar.

Alex: Wanna know what I think, though, I think that those that gave there lives to make sure others survived wouldn't want us to sulk around and do nothing. They gave their lives so that others may live. They entrusted the further of Remnant to both them and us. We mustn't let that sacrifice be in vein. If we let the emotions of the past get the better of us, then we'll not only bring more Grimm, but we'll never be able to move forward. We have to fight for what we have, for who we have, and for what is left. I'm sure many of you are asking what it is that is left, and that's an easy answer: Hope. As long as there is still life, then there is still hope. When I was in your position, I thought the same thing, but when I learned that I had to ability to do something, I used that ability to not only better who I was but the people around me. It is because of who we became as both soldiers and people that we were able to make lives better for the people we were fighting for, the people we chose to protect. When the enemy had us backed into a corner, we didn't quit, we found opportunities, and we found hope. We didn't just lie down and accept our fate, we got up and fought on. That's why I will fight for this world because I have something that's worth fighting for. I'm not gonna quit when they need me the most, I'm gonna keep going and I will make sure that there is a better tomorrow, for both them, and you. Now who's with me?!

Cheers from both civilians and soldiers alike roared across the planet as several soldiers hidden within the civilians of the vial he got into there uniforms and started for The Menagerie, with new recruits, pilots, and standard soldiers. Some that stayed in the village began to arm the civilians, handing them firearms and heavy ordinance. While this was happening, an unknown meeting was taking place, with the queen and her pawns, minus Cinder, Watts, Mercury and Emerald, discussing what the next attack would be. What they didn't expect was for a new force to appear. Several explosions went off around them as the entire fortress was reduced to ruble, killing two of them in the process, and to make matters worse, several soldier wearing white armor shot the other before a lone Titan walked up to Salem, its gun pointed at her.

???: So this is the Famous Salem, I'm disappointed, I was expecting more of a challenge.

As she looked up, she felt something she hadn't felt in a long time: fear.

Salem: Who are you?

Maurder: I am General Maurder of The IMC.

He then pulled the trigger as her body went limp. The IMC then took the opportunity to leave, leaving the Grimm Lands destroyed in the process as no new Grimm could be made.
