A/N: Hey everyone! Thank you all so much for 11 reads! It may not seem a lot to you, but it sure is a lot to me. xD I hope you all are enjoying Our Crooked Words, because I enjoy writing it! Even though it is Easter tomorrow, I will most likely be updating. Thank you, and here is  chapter six!

~Chapter Six~

Alisha's POV:

I'm.. extraodinary? I didn't know whether or not to take that as a compliment or not, since all the children in my hospital either have some form of cancer or another type of disease.

I must've had a look of discomfort on my face, because Mitch looked back down at his salad, playing with the bits of cheese in it. The poor guy. I didn't mean to offend him.

"Look Mitch, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make anything awkward or offend you. It's just.. when you called us special it made us seem like we're just different, not human beings. Just because we have a disease." I said, lowering my voice as each word came out. I'm so rude.

"It's ok. I didn't mean for it to come out that way. Sorry." He didn't make eye contact with me, just continued playing with his lettuce.

The waitress walked up to our table and handed us our check. "Thank you for coming, come again anytime you please." She half-smiled, noticing how uncomfortable we both are.

"Thanks." Mitch grabs the check, as well as grabbing his wallet.

"What are you doing?" I ask, gazing at his wallet.

"Getting money out so I can pay. What else?" He rummages through his wallet, getting the exact change.

"I can't let you do that.. You've already done too much for me." I shook my head, taking my purse out.

"No, let me. I insist. Please." He finally looks into my eyes. Dang. How can I say no to those eyes? I look away, feeling my cheeks grow bright red. "That's what I thought." He chuckles, leaving a 6 dollar tip on the table.

  Mitch's POV:

Alisha hates me now, I just know it. "You guys are special." My words ring through my mind as we walk to the car in silence. I open the door  for her, and she crawls in.

"Thanks.." She whispers, looking straight ahead. Ouch.

I slipped into the driver's seat, and turned the key to get the car running.

"Hey Alisha?" I ask, glancing over to her and back to the road.

"Hmm?"

"Do you hate me now or what?"

She glared at me, obviously annoyed. She shook her head.

"So.." I emphasize, dragging the o.

"Mitch. That is absolutely ridiculous. I could never hate you. You are my inspiration, my idol. I watched your videos everyday, and envied every person who would get to meet you, while I'm hooked up to so many machines. I envy Adam, Ty, Jerome, Ryan, who gets to come so close to you and become your best friends. But most of all, I envy you. How much of a perfect life you are living. Being famous, making tons of money, getting so many fans to love you no matter if you betray them. I can't hate you though, because I love you as much as I love my own mother." She cleared her throat, and started again.

"I love you as much as I love my own mother." She repeated softly, her eyes wallowing up in tears.

I love you as much as I love my own mother.

Short chapter, I know. Mitch and Alisha are already getting tension and they literally just met. xD

I'm horrible. *mental facepalm*

Thank you for reading! Much love!

Take care.
