Vera's POV:
Great I muttered. After a second I realized that Ace was still sitting on the couch gawking at me. Then I heard a car pull in the driveway and the beep of it locking followed by a knock on my door. I already knew who it was so I told Alex to stay on the couch no matter what. When I got to the door I saw Nick. He looked pissed no no that's an understatement he was furious. "Heyyy n...ni...Nick" he grabbed my wrist tightly. "Don't start with me today Veronica I'll give you five minutes before we leave". He let go of my wrist but slapped my face first. I went to the living room to get rid of Ace.
Ace's POV:
I heard a ding from a phone go off so I looked over at Vera to see her awake. She started to go through her phone and the she muttered something under her breath but I didn't quite catch it. Then I heard a car pull in, it locks, followed by a knock on the door. Vera stands up and tells me to stay on the couch no matter what so I just stayed sitting. Next I heard Vera walk over to the door and open it. She then said " Heyyy n...ni...Nick." Honestly she sounded deathly scared. Then I heard another voice speak"Don't start with me today Veronica". So Vera is short for Veronica huh I like it. Damn why am i feeling this way. Everytime around her my wolf gets all excited and nervous. Then the new voice speak up again " I'll give you five minutes before we leave". Before she walked away I heard a slap and her whimper but she just walked back into the living room like nothing happened. She told me to go out the back door and then through the gate in the backyard. No I am not letting her go with him. He friking slapped her. " No I'm fine right her princessa" I said with a smirk. She looked frightened then a guy with a pissed off looking face. When he saw me he looked even more pissed. I looked over at Vera who was looking at the with a worried expression.

Vera's POV:
I told him to leave but he refused. Then I heard Nick walking in to the room a I got scared. He looked pissed but when he saw Ace he looked even more pissed which made me scared shitless. " Who is he Veronica" Nick asked with a deathly tone. "Th..thi...this is a...Ace h...he's m...my neighbor. Nick gets closer and punches me straight in the nose which knocks me out before everything goes completely black I hear a growl,footsteps upstairs,and someone screaming out in pain.
