Chapter 5: Her- Drakes friends house was just outside the opposite end of the forest. The house was huge. I asked Drake while he knocked on the door,
"What's she like?"
"Don't worry you'll love her."
The door opened and a tall caramel skin girl said,
"What do you want fucktart."
I gasped on the inside and tried to stay positive. I smiled,
"Hi I'm..."
She interrupted me and pointed at Drake,
"I was talking to him."
Drake looked like he had swallowed a fly,
"Melen?"
The girl had long black hair the sides were buzz cut, black makeup, ripped crop shirt that said I'm not always a bitch but...jk go fuck yourself, her right ear was covered in piercings and a tattoo of a Phoenix was on her right shoulder. One eye was navy blue and the other was black. She answered,
"That's me. Melen Edwards."
I squealed,
"Thee Melen Edwards? Oh my god I love your paintings!!"
Melen had a look of disgust,
"Why the fuck did you bring this to my house?"
Drake pushed me forward,
"This happens to be a person. Collin Adams meet Melen Edwards. I brought her here because I need your help."
Melen groaned,
"Ok fine. Come in."
The inside was just incredible. Especially the paintings that covered the walls top to bottom. We sat at the kitchen table to chat. Melen handed us drinks. Finally something nice she did.
"So are you still at that hell home?"
Drake questioned her,
"Why do you call it a hell home? And yes I am."
Melen threw her hair over her shoulder,
"Because there's so many rules at that old mansion."
Then a beautiful amazing girl walked in. She was shorter and younger than Melen and pale. She had silver eyes and almost white blonde hair. Her voice sounded like honey,
"Hi, I'm Annett, Melen's sister."
She giggled and whispered,
"Ignore her bad mood. I pissed her off earlier."
Melen glared at Annett,
"We are trying to have a adult conversation Annett."
Annett glared back. She was even hotter when she was mad,
"I'm only six months younger!"
Melen yelled back,
"I don't give a fuck! Leave this room right now!"
I stood up slowly a little light headed,
"No it's ok. Let her stay."
Drake saw the look in my face, admiration. His eyes grew darker. One enemy and one friend only their positions were switched between Drake and I. He was friends with Melen and enemies with Annett now that he realized I had taken a liking. I was friends with Annett and most likely enemies with Melen because she sees me as a threat or a ass. Ha well she's the real ass! I sat back down embarrassed. Melen gave me Rylie's "hate you" look. My heart ached as I thought of Rylie. Annett took a seat beside me and I smiled big and welcoming. Melen continued,
"So, what do you need help with?"
Drake looked at her as if she should understand just by his look,
"She's in transformation."
Melen smiled mischievously,
"Which means she's uncontrollable."
Drake didn't follow,
"No. I am training her correctly. You got kicked out for a reason."
I said,
"I would like to take a nap. Where are we sleeping?"
Annett smiled warmly,
"We are sharing a room."
Melen huffed,
"Fine then Drake can sleep in my room."
I was hesitant about this. I reminded myself they are just friends plus I don't want to lose my chance with Annett. Drake was about to complain but I shushed him,
"Sounds good."
We ate dinner then went to our rooms. I slept in my underwear and one of Annett's shirts. She wore the same but with a pair of socks. We climes into bed together silently. A few minutes later Annett sat up and asked cheerfully,
"Want to play truth or dare?"
I sat up too,
"Sure. Truth or dare?"
Annett smiled daringly,
"Dare."
I smiled like a badass,
"I dare you to...kiss me."
I raised my eyebrows at her and she laugh. Annett leaned forward,
"A dare is a dare."
Her lips pressed to mine. I gasped when her tongue touched mine. She pulled me onto her lap and I wrapped my legs around her waist. Her hands slid to a unknown place. I moved my lips to her cheek, neck then chest. Annett kept me in her arms as we stood up and stumbled around the room. Finally we settled to the wall by the TV. She pushed me into the wall then there was a crash. We broke apart and noticed the TV had fallen and broken into a dozen pieces. Annett said seriously,
"I think we need to sleep, Collin."
My name sounded like a beautiful tune flowing out of her mouth. I answered quietly,
"Okay, Annett."
I wondered if she felt the same when I spoke her name. We climbed in bed keeping as much space apart. During the night Annett rolled off the bed waking both of us. We laughed as I helped her up. I wrapped my arms around her,
"I will never let you fall again."
She smiled and fell asleep again. We woke in the morning to Melen screaming about the broken TV,
"What the hell happened here!!"
It wasn't a question. I quickly answered,
"Whoa. When did that happen?"
Annett looked at me worriedly and followed along,
"No my TV!!"
She was close to crying. I winced when I climbed out of bed and noticed the glass had cut my feet last night. Melen and Drake looked at us curiously. Annett whispered to Melen,
"Gross Melen no. Nothing happened really."
Drake looked at me. He tried to hide the hurt in his eyes. He knew and was disappointed. No not disappointed, heartbroken. Drake faked a smile,
"I'm starving! Let's go get food."
He pushed us all out of the room and toward the kitchen. There was ham, bacon, eggs and pancakes on the table. Melen looked at me like she was about to apologize,
"Your still half human and need to eat unlike us but I wasn't sure what you liked. We are going hunting while you eat."
Annett and Drake all back in sync,
"Be back soon!"
Drake glared at Annett as if to say you wanna go there. Annett sneered then smiled at me and walked out fiercely.
I was alone. Finally.
