Unspoken Words

VIII.

   It's been a few weeks since that morning. Sadly Axel had to leave suddenly, he said he had work.

The day after that he sent me a text saying he went back home, which I now know is Italy, where he came from. That explains a lot. His accent, his amazing tan and those eyes that I can't seem to get off of my mind. And his stupid smirk, that I wanted so much to slap off of his face, kept haunting me, although he was miles away.

Axel kept texting me each day, whenever he'd wake up and go back to sleep. We sometimes even spoke on FaceTime.

It was weird how this person, that I totally despised, now I can't seem to get him out of my mind.

Everything about him was just drawing me in, like the little moth is drawn to the shiny light during the dark nights.

I love how he acts so cold, like a total áss, but deep inside he's far away from that. And I'm just now starting to see that.

I wish he'd come back already. But he had to stay for a few more weeks there. Sadly

I was sitting at my favorite café, drinking my favorite iced coffee and eating the mouthwatering croissants.

In front of me on the table were scattered unfinished drawings, each of them different from the other.

Just as I picked up the pen to draw, my phone vibrated. I glanced up and saw it was a text from Axel.

Asshole: How's your day?

I grinned before quickly typing a reply.

Me: it's okay. How's your day?

I still haven't changed his name from Asshole. I might do it later, but I always forget.

Asshole: Look up.

I narrowed my eyebrows as I read his text, but still listening to him I lifted my head up, only to see him standing a few feet away from me. He was grinning as he approached me.

"Hey!" I said excitedly as I stood up from the chair, "You liar, you're back early," grinning I stood on my tippy toes as I wrapped my arms around his neck.

Both his firm arms wrapped around my waist as he pulled me in a crushing hug, "I thought you'd like this surprise," he whispered in my ear before I pulled away slightly, looking up at him, into his eyes.

An euphoric feeling ran through my whole body, making me giddy as he grinned, staring back into my eyes.

"I missed you," he mumbled softly as he lifted his hand up, taking a piece of my hair and swirled it around his finger.

Smirking, I titled my head to one said and narrowed my eyes, "Did you really?"

He let out a soft chuckle, that was a melody to my ears, "Of course I did," his famous smirk made it's way onto his face as he leaned in closer, "Who wouldn't miss such a beautiful girl?"

I looked away, laughing as I stepped back once I felt the hot wave that hit my body from head to toe.

"Sit," I nodded towards the table then looked at Axel, "join me for coffee."

His grip tightened on my waist as he stared at me, "Actually I'm in a hurry, right now."

"Oh," I said, taking his hands to push him away but his grip only tightened more.

"But, I wanna take you out on a date." He stated as he pulled me closer while his gaze never left my eyes.

"Are you asking me or demanding it?" I let out a chuckle as I raised my eyebrows.

"Tonight at 8, I'll pick you up." He placed a kiss on my forehead before pulling away and walking fast out of the café.

Well damn.

I quickly took my phone out to text Niomi.

Me: Dude, are you sleeping?

It was a thing between us, calling each other dude. Although we, obviously, aren't dudes.

Niobitch: Just woke up blah what's up

Chuckling as I saw that it's 11am, it's typical for her to just be waking up.

Me: Weeell, your best friend has a date with Axel.

It took her a few minutes to reply back.

Niobitch: THE ASSHOLE????

I tried not to laugh at her response because people would probably think I'm crazy. As if the grin on my face isn't making me crazy enough.

Me: yes, the asshole. The date is tonight at 8.

This time her response was immediate.

Niobitch: IM COMING TO GET YOU READY.

I grinned at her excitement before replying back that I'll be home in a few minutes and of course she requested me to get her some coffee.

I quickly collected all my things and got her a coffee before sprinting out of the café.

Once I reach my house, Ni was already in front of the house, waiting for me.

I ran towards her and pulled her in a tight hug, "Oh my God, Ni!" I let out a squeal, hugging her.

She let out a laugh, shaking her head, "Please don't make me deaf,"

I stuck my tongue out at her before handing her her coffee and unlocking the house to go inside.

It was early so we decided to eat lunch and then binge watch on some movies.

It was already around 4pm as we finished watching the movie and Ni suddenly jumped up from the bed.

"Flora, we have to get you ready!" She said in a hurry as she walked fast to my wardrobe and started going through it.

Laughing, I stood up and walked towards her, glancing through my wardrobe as well. I grinned widely as I saw something I liked, I took out a long straight gray dress that had a long slit down each side.

I looked at Ni as I pressed the dress on my body, "how about this?"

She grinned as she saw the dress and nodded, before quickly taking out my jean jacket, "And this as well."

I nodded quickly before taking out some light black high heels that would match the light gray dress.

After three hours of getting me ready, I was finally done.

Ni didn't go heavy on the makeup since the whole outfit was light and soft, so she didn't want to overdo it. My long hair was slightly curled and Ni collected half of my hair up in a bun while the rest was laid down.

It was 7:30 and I decided to put on the clothes so I could be ready.

Ni and I took some photos before she had to leave, sadly but I was going to leave anyway.

Time was slowly ticking and it was already 8pm.

There was no sight of Axel. But it was still early.

The sun was slowly going down as the time sped up into the night.

It was already 9:30pm. And that's when I realized that Axel wasn't coming.
