"And you reply...
I like the thrill
Nothing's gonna make me feel this real.
So baby don't go home
I don't wanna spend tonight alone."

🖤🖤🖤

I tried to escape the thoughts that were constantly consuming my mind. That wasn't easy to do, but it had to be done. Happiness was much harder to find than people would think. I tried to push the negativity away, so I wouldn't let depression swallow me alive.

It was raining today. But I loved it. The rain, the grey clouds filling the sky. It made me feel like home.

The time was 10pm. Ni was probably still asleep, but I didn't wanna go out alone so I decided to text her.

"Yo. R u sleeping?"

I sat on my bed as I waited for her reply. 5 minutes later I got no response. I ran my fingers through my long ebony hair before standing up and walking to my closet. The warm clothes were long tucked behind the light blouses and dresses. Pushing some of the hangers aside as I tried to look further to find my favorite black sweatshirt. I took it from the shelf as well as some dark jeans. I stripped out of my pajamas and put on the jeans and the sweatshirt. Walking out of the closet I took my phone and some money from my wallet before tucking them in the back pocket of my jeans. I sat down on the bed as I put on my black converse.

The time I got out of the house the rain has turned to light drizzle. It was soothing and refreshing.

The walk to the coffee shop was long, because I took my time walking and enjoying the weather. Most people would hurry to hide under the roofs, but not me. Loud music was blasting through my earbuds. The Weeknd was playing. The way his soothing voice rang in my ears made me relax even more.

The busy day was buzzing as people, hiding under the umbrellas try to move fast on the sidewalks. The streets were filled with roaring cars, trying to escape the upcoming traffic. That wasn't easy to do.

Once I stepped into the coffee shop, the smell of freshly brewed coffee hit my trembling senses as my craving for some hot coffee and breakfast grew more.

I ordered two croissants and a coffee as I sat down on my usual furtherest table, away from all the human chaos and noise.

This time I didn't take my sketchbook so I was left all alone with my phone and the deliciousness in front of me. Ni still hasn't replied to my message and it was around 11am already.

The bell hanging above the door of the coffee shop rang. Instinctively I lifted my head up and guess who it was? The guy with the raven hair and dark brown, almost black, eyes. His face was sour, he was grimacing as his beautiful eyes scanned around the room. I leaned my head down and hoped he didn't see me. I tried to concentrate hardly on the screen that showed me the dashboard on my Tumblr page. It was colorful and filled with different drawings.

"Could I have a black coffee with no sugar and your special, please?" His voice.

I slightly lifted my head up towards his direction only to be met with his eyes, already staring back at me.

"Hi." He gently said as his eyes dig deeper into my soul.

"Hey," Trembling, I replied.

"Mind if I sit?" He asked, nodding his head towards the empty seat across the table.

I shook my head, "No, go ahead."

He sat down as he glanced towards my plate, "Only two croissants?" Shrugging, I nodded my head. "Yeah," I looked up at him, "I'm not that hungry."

He extended his arm across the table, "I'm Axel." Axel.

His name sounded so angelic. Although he was far from that.

I took his hand and shook it, "I'm Flora."

A smirk grew on his face, "I know," He leaned closer and whispered, "Now you owe me breakfast."

I pulled my hand from his grip and laid it down on my lap, raising my eyebrows, "Excuse me?"

Axel left out a low chuckle, "Yesterday. You left without paying and I had to pay for you."

Mentally I face palmed myself. How could I be so stupid?

"Oh, that's right," I look down at the single croissant left on the white plate, before looking up, "But it's your fault. You pissed me off."

It was his time to lift his eyebrows up. He leaned in across the table, "How did I piss you off?"

I leaned back against the chair, rolling my eyes, "You know how. And right now you're pissing me off, again." Glaring at him, I took my cup of coffee and sipped slowly, letting the bitter liquid down.

The smirk was plastered once again on his face, "Am I?"

Groaning I tilted my head back, "Can you stop smirking?"

"Can you stop groaning? That old lady is looking at you weird." At that my head shot towards the direction he nodded his head towards. And indeed there was an old lady, with a shocked expression on her face. I smiled at her awkwardly while she sent me back a glare.

I turned my attention back to Axel and there he was with my phone in his hands. I reached forward to snatch my phone back but that only made him lean back against his chair and hold onto the phone, MY PHONE, tighter.

"What the fuck?" I shot up from my chair and stomped my foot on the ground, "Give me my phone back!"

He glanced up at me with a sigh, before lifting his hand up to give it to me, "There I only wanted to check the time." Axel smirked.

That fucking smirk.

"Why didn't you give it back the first time I reached out?" Taking my phone from him I tucked it in the back pocket of my jeans.

"Because I just took it and I didn't have the time to check it because your psycho ass started freaking out." He rolled his eyes.

That was the last straw. I grabbed my half empty cup of coffee and threw it on him. I couldn't even describe the shocked look on his face because I was already running out of the store.

"WHAT THE FUCK?" I heard him scream, "Get back here!"
