I park the car near the grocery store. I walk inside, grab a cart, and head towards the milk isle. I grab a jug of whole milk when I hear a child. "Hey, Mommy, look! That man has blue hair!", he says out loud. I turn around to see a little boy sittin' in a cart playin' with a toy figure. He is being pushed in the cart by a woman. "Stuart! You can't be yelling at people in the store!", the woman tells the boy.

I put the milk in the cart and walk towards them. "It's okay, ma'am.", I assure her. I look towards the boy. "So, you like my blue hair?", I ask the boy. "Yeah! Can I touch it?", he asks holding out his hands. "Sure", I say, leanin' forward. He puts his hands in my hair. "Why is your hair blue?", he asks. "Well, when I was about your age, I fell off a tree and landed on my head. I lost my hair, but then it grew back blue.", I explain. "That's cool! Mommy can I try that?", he asks the woman. "No, Stuart! That's dangerous!", she replies. "Aww, c'mon!", the boy whines.

"So, your name is Stuart?", I ask the boy. He lets go of my hair. "Yes. Stuart Albarn.", he replies. "Well, did you know my name is Stuart too?", I ask. "Really? That's cool!", he replied. "Also, you have the same last name as someone I know.", I explain. "Wow!", he replies.

I turn to the woman. "Stuart Pot", I say, holding out my hand. "Amanda Albarn.", she replies, shaking my hand. "Are you guys related to Damon Albarn?", I ask out of curiosity. "Unfortunately, no. My husband just coincidently has the same last name", she explains. I look at the boy. "That's a nice boy you have", I say. "Yes. He's a handful, but he is a good son.", she says. "How old is he?", I ask. "Oh, he's five years old, almost six.", she replies.

"Mommy, don't forget to tell him I play piano good!", Stuart says. "Oh, yes. He is good at playing with his keyboard. He doesn't like to play classical songs, but he likes to play other types of music.", she explains. "Yeah, I like to play songs from video games and Gorillaz! Have you ever heard of the band? The skinny guy is my favorite!", Stuart asks me. "Um, yeah. I think if heard of them.", I reply. As of right now, I'm trying my best not to show that I'm lying. "Oh Stuart, and his Gorillaz band", Amanda says sarcastically.

"Well, it was nice meetin' you both.", I say as I start walkin' back to the cart. "Wait, will we see you again?", the boys asks me. "You know what? I'll give my number to your mommy so you can call me, okay?",I say. "Good idea!", Stuart responds. I give my number to Amanda and wave them goodbye as I walk to my cart. I turn around and head towards the cereal isle.

As I grab the cereal I think about the boy. Someday I would like to have a child like that. A child who is curious, nice, and likes music. Someday...
