I glanced at Sofia through the car mirror. She was staring out the window, her eyes wandering between different houses. I felt pity for her, because I knew the story. She had explained it all the night she came to me.

"Hi" Daniel greeted the person at the door. I came up behind him to see who it was.

"Hello, is your father Josh Bradley?" the voice was very familiar, but I couldn't tell who she was at once. I had heard it, years ago, though.

"Who are you speaking with Daniel?" I had asked my son as I got close enough to look at the young girl by the door. I stopped dead in my tracks. "Danny, go find mumma" I then told Daniel and let him run away.

There we then stood, staring at each other. I didn't know what to say, I had no idea what I would do.

"Hello Josh" she suddenly broke the silence that we shared.

"You can't be..." I thought, not realizing I said it out loud.

"Apparently I can Josh" she told me at once before pointing into the house. "Can I come in?" she had asked me. I slowly nodded, letting her in.

Then she had told me everything if I would let her stay for awhile. Of course I let her stay, she was my best friend's sister.

When we reached Simon and JJ's home I parked right beside Simon's Audi.

"Here we are" I spoke and Sofia just nodded before getting out of the car.

"I'm gonna go for a quick walk, I'll be back before dinner" she told us all when we had gotten out.

"Alright, see you later" I replied, knowing exactly where she was going. She was going to a meeting down in the park, under the biggest tree there.
