It had been a week since Felix and I did that game of truth or dare. Felix had been doing good with changing that week. He only swore twice, and he was studying a lot. I had been talking to Megan to get together with Mac and Felix, so we could fix this problem. So it was Sunday. I told Felix to meet at my house. Megan and Mac were coming too, but Felix didn't know that. And Mac had no idea that Felix was going to be there. I was in my living room watching TV when my doorbell rang. I stood and walked to it. It was Felix.
"Hey, come on in." I said, letting him in. We walked into the living room, and sat on the couch.
"So what am I doing here?" Felix asked me.
"Well..." I said stretching on the couch. "You'll see, in just a sec." I told him, laying on the couch.
"Okay... Why aren't you telling me?" He asked. I sighed. Then seconds later my front door opened. Felix looked away from me and tried to look out by the door.
"Hey! We're here!" Megan said. I stood, and walked over to the door, as did Felix, with a curious expression, on his face. It all went away when He saw Megan and Mac.He Frowned at me.
"Hey." I said. Mac didn't look terribly happy.
"Hey, Megan. I'm not feeling too good, I think I'll go home. But when he turned around, I locked the back door.
"Mac, I'm sorry for going behind your back like this, but we have a problem, that needs to be sorted out." Megan said. Then I saw Felix bolt for the back door. I raced him to it. He beat me and started to pull it open. But then I smacked into it, (Not intentionally mind you) slamming it shut. Felix cried out with surprise.
"Ow..." I started. Then I looked at Felix. "Your not going anywhere too buster." I said, poking him on the chest. He stared at me, Jaw clenched.
"What the heck are you doing, Marine?" He asked, in a quiet voice, but fury was evident in his voice.
"Well, Megan and I are here to help You and Mac Become friends again. Because the reason you're no longer friends is ridiculous." I snarled.
"Yeah, I'm sorry but that's not gonna happen." Mac said, folding his arms. I pointed to him.
"Shush. Now both of you are gonna sit on the couch." I said. Megan nudged him, and he sighed. He walked to the couch and collapsed onto it, like a pouting child. These two are like children! I thought. While Mac accepted, Felix stood still by me. I glared at him, and he glared at me defiantly. Finally I was done with the stupid glares and shoved him over to the couch. He stumbled and looked back at me giving me an icy glare this time. I Looked at him intently, daring him to defy me. He sighed and sat at the opposite end of mac. I stood in front of them.
"Now." I started. Then I yelled, "What the heck is wrong with you two!?" They both looked up at me in surprise.
"Honestly. This situation is so dramatic, and stupid it's ridiculous." I said exasperatedly. "Mac, Why the heck are you mad at Felix for his brothers mistake?" Felix is not his brother!" I said, Felix looked down shamefully. "Felix! Why are you okay with him being angry at you? Why are you fighting him? Why is it that Megan and I have to fix this, not you two!" I asked. Felix looked down at his hands. "Answer the freaking question!" I yelled. Mac flinched back, and Felix grimaced.
"Marine. Can I talk to you? Privatly." Felix asked. I looked at him. "That's not a question." He told me after I didn't respond for a bit. I sighed, and looked at Megan.
"Don't let him go anywhere." I told her, then I started to walk toward the stairs. Felix followed behind, solemnly. When we got into my room, I closed the door, and locked it. "What is it?" I asked.
"Marine. I told you what happened between me and Mac. That didn't mean I wanted you to fix it!" He told me.
"I know. But I wanted to. I mean come on! Why can't you guys swallow your pride, and admit that you were wrong! Why can't you apologize? Felix, I just can't stand it. Megan is my friend. We'll study together, and she will probably bring Mac, and I will probably bring you!" I said, angrily.
"I just won't come! There easily fixed!"
"No!" I cried.
"Why not?!"
"Because I want you around! You are one of the few that I feel comfortable with!" I said. Felix walked close to me, so close I could feel his breath on my face.
"Then why do you lie to me?" He asked, looking me deeply in the eyes. I look at him in shock.
"What are you talking about Felix?" I asked.
"Oh for heavens sakes, cut the act Marine! I know you lied. You lied to me about your mother. She's not on a business trip!" He cried, grabbing my shoulders. I look at him, feeling numb.
"H... How did you find that out?" I asked, quietly, and afraid.
"Marine, my brother is a liar! I lived with a lier! You think I can't tell when someone is lieing?" He asked. I started to feel shaky.
"Oh gosh..." I started. I felt my knees buckle, and I started to fall, but Felix catched me, and we both knelt down. "I'm sorry Felix. I just don't want you to know... It's my fault." I said, starting to cry.
"Marine?" He asked, looking at me concerned. "Hey Marine. I'm sorry I went too far there." He said. I shook my head.
"I just want you to make up with Mac. You two seem like you could be the greatest friends, if you would just talk it out." I said.
"Marine. Mac hates me. Do you really think that talking it out will make everything fine?" He asked me, looking at me doubtfully. I looked up to him, confidently.
"Yes." I said, with a steady gaze. Felix clenched his jaw, and looked away. He hesitated for a while, then looked at me again.
"Alright. If you are so sure. I'll trust you. But stop crying. It's okay, you didn't want me to know about something and that's okay." He said. I nodded, and wiped away my tears. Finally after a bit, we walked out of my room, and down to Mac and Megan. Felix didn't sit.
"Mac. We really need to fix this situation, because if we don't Marine will kill me, and Megan will probably kill you. You hate me, right?" Felix asked. Mac opened his mouth to say something, but Felix interupted him, before he even spoke. "Right. You hate me because my brother was the cause that your brother is in jail, right?" Mac was silent. Felix nodded. "Well, don't be offended, because I'm not trying to be rude, I'll just be saying what I have been thinking for a long time." Felix started. "I think that's stupid. I am not my brother. I haven't ever really gotten into any of those things, so I don't think you should hate me. I had to go through with the same thing as you."
I was surprised with Felix. I didn't expect him to do this at all. I looked to Mac, who sighed. "I don't hate you, Felix. I just was mad at you. Which wasn't right. I guess I just needed someone to blame. And that person was you. And it was really dumb. I have actually thought about this a lot. And I want to say I'm sorry." He said. I looked in shock. I mean I didn't expect these guys to act this way! I mean they acted so wise! What the crap? If this had happened sooner, all this stupid drama would already be over! I thought. It blew my mind how easy it was for them.
"I'm sorry too. I didn't talk to you about it, even though I should have." Felix said, nodding. I looked at Megan, she looked as if her mind had been boggled too!
"So... Everything is okay now?" Megan asked. Felix grinned, which indicated yes! I was happy that finally that was dealt with. We all smiled in silence. Now that the drama was basically over, we were going to have a lot of fun.
