"Maybe you just need to be alone. Take some time to yourself, shut out any sounds and just think."
That's the worst thing she could ever do. She dreads the moments when there's no music to break the silence, no people to take her attention, no videos to makes her laugh.
When it is silent, she has time to think. There's this quote on her Pinterest page, "Don't believe everything you think", she reads it, but she can't make any promises. When you have endless free time and a limited number of people and things to rely on, the silence can be deafening and the thoughts only get louder.
She sits on her bedroom floor, waiting for a Snapchat message, a text, a new Instagram follower. She shuffles the same Spotify playlist over and over again. She completes her classes, edits her stories, organizes her room looking for any way to avoid herself.
But silence has come.
