IT EXPLAINS IT ALL

          He walked further towards me and held my hands.
He stared at me straight in the eye and I did too. All the memories started coming back to me. A faint memory of us playing together as kids and me waiting out without him coming.

          Just then I left his hands and then I said "Where did you go" He said "I don't get you" " I came out looking, waiting for you to come but you never did. You went away without even telling me. Tell me would a real man do that". I said angrily. Then he said "I was eight and I didn't go.......  "I don't want to hear it" I interrupted. So you were at home all that while and u didn't even bother to come to me and I walked away. He tried calling me "Riley, Riri" " You know what, don't call me that". I said shouting.

         Then I walked away with anger though I was hurt. I know it was a long time ago and I might have overreacted but it really hurted me. At that time I wouldn't eat, I would cry just wanting to at least see his face. I went home. My intention was to ran to my room and have some alone time with myself. As I was about to go up the stairs, Just then I heard mummy ask, "Where are you coming from young lady".
           At a point I was speechless but I realised that I had just gone for a walk and there was nothing to hide. "I was bored home alone so I went for a walk" I said "Are those tears in your eyes?" Mummy asked. "No" I said in a faint voice. I ran to my room and mummy ran after me. I entered my room and locked the door.

            Mummy  stood at the door and she said angrily, "Riley open the door right now." I said in a loud voice "No mummy." I putted my head on the pillow face flat.

          "Riley I'm serious." Mummy said. "Mummy please I just want to be alone. Then mummy said "Open up and we'll talk about anything that's bothering you. I opened the door and she came in. She looked at me and then sat by me on the bed. Then I placed my head on her lap. She played with my hair and she later asked me, "What's bothering you."

           Then I said "Mummy why didn't  you tell me"

"Tell u what." Mummy said.

"You told me Jacky had gone and he was never coming back." I said.

Then she added "Yes he's gone and will never come........"

Mummy don't lie to me. I have met him and he went nowhere." I interrupted.

What? How? I told that man to keep his son away from my daughter."  She said out of anger.

"Mummy you did what? You  took Jacky away from me. He was my only friend and you knew it. How could you?" I said.

"Riley I can explain......" she said.

         No mummy just go. I want to be alone. She went out without saying a word. I felt bad for treating Jake that way. I felt I had overreacted. Just like mummy did with Mr.  Hebertson. I so much wished that  I hadn't reacted that way.
